His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Mahaswami, the 68 th Peethadhipathi of KanchiMatt , the incarnation of Adi Sankaracharya and popularly known in AP as NADICHE DEVUDU, travelled the length and breadth of the country on foot for protection of Veda dharma and to spread Sanatana Dharmacharana among younger generation and common folk , commencing his padayatra in March 1919. HH Periyavar inspired millions with his simplicity and way of life.
To commemorate the 100th year of that great event, Jayajaya Sankara TV & Kanchi Matt has come up with the concept of spreading the principles & teachings of Periyavar by replicating His padayatra carrying His Padukas & His Idols & copies of VEDAS ( as PERIAVA is the Vedamurty) in a chariot starting from Ichchapuram in AP ( a boarder town to Orissa state ) on 18/03/2018 .
The Radhayatra is proceeding in grand, pious manner from Ichchapuram through small & interior villages of Punugodu, Dantugaddi, Dharmapuram, Eedupuram, Danduru, Seemuru, Kapasakurthi, Pragadaputtaga, Kaviti, Kottapalem, Hechuvanipalem, Goruvanka, Mukarampuram, Kanchili & reached SOMPETA on 20/03/2018.

Everywhere the devotees in villages & towns are participating in the event with religious fervour, having the Darshana of the holy PADUKAS and the idol of PERIAVA and participating in
the Spiritual discourses and Cultural events held at each town / village where the Yatra is

இந்த மிகப்பெரிய நிகழ்வின் 100 வது வருஷத்தை நினைவு கூற , ஜெய ஜெய சங்கரா தொலைக்காட்சியும் , காஞ்சி காமகோடி மடமும் சேர்ந்து , மஹா பெரியவர்களின் சிந்தனைகளையும் , அறிவுரைகளையும் , அவர் நடைப்பயணம் மேற்கொண்டு சென்றதையும் மக்களிடம்கொண்டு செல்ல , பூஜ்யஸ்ரீ மஹாஸ்வாமியின் பாதுகைகளையும் , வேதங்களின் பிரித்திகைகளையும் ( பெரியவா அவர்களே வேதமூர்த்தி ) ஒரு அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட ரதத்தில் வைத்து இட்சாபுரம் ,ஆந்திரா பிரதேசம் என்ற ஊரிலிருந்து (ஒரிசா மாகாணத்தின் எல்லையில் உள்ள ஊர்). 18/03/18 அன்று புறப்பட்டது .
இந்த ரத யாத்திரை மிக விமரிசையாகவும் ,பய பக்தியுடனும் மிகவும் உள்ளே உள்ள குக்கிராமங்கள் புணுக்கோடு, தண்டுகட்டி, தர்மாபுரம், ஈடுபுரம் ,டண்டுரு , சீமுறு , கபசாகுர்தி , பிரகடபுட்டாக , கவிதி, கோட்டபாலம், ஹெசுவேனி பாலம் , கோருவங்க , முகராம்புரம் , கஞ்சிலி வழியாகச் சென்று 20/03/18 அன்று சோமாபேட்டையை அடைந்தது.
இதுவரை சென்ற ஊர்கள் 21/03/18.பலாசா, 22/03/18 …தேக்களி , 23/03/18..நரசன்னபேட்டை, 24/03/18..ஸ்ரீகாகுளம் .
இந்த யாத்திரை செல்லும் வழியெல்லாம் கிராமங்களிலும் , நகரங்களிலும் பக்தர்கள் விழாக்காலம் போல் தெய்வ சிந்தனையுடன் ஒன்று கூடி பாதுகை, பெரியாவா பதுமை ,படம்முதலியவைகளை தரிசித்து கதா காலட்ஷேபங்கள் கேட்டு , மற்ற நிகழ்ச்சிகளிலும் கலந்து கொண்டு ஆனந்திக்கிறார்கள்.
