Dear Readers,
This is an important announcement. Please take some time to read this and take action appropriately.
As you all know, the sole purpose of this blog is to bring all Mahaperiyava contents into a single portal. As this blog has slowly transformed into a powerful platform where users from across the world are connected, there has been a steady stream of requests to me to posts several appeals from ghosalas, temple kumbabishekam committees so that they could reach out to more people through this blog and receive proper financial support.
There are two schools of thoughts on this topic::
- this blog blog is more like a library where people want to come and read – why post more of these appeals and distort the original intent of the blog?
- all these appeals fall under three broad categories veda, gho samrakshanam and temple renovation. So, there is nothing wrong with these appeals.
I have heard several comments where readers are annoyed by seeing too many appeals at the same time etc. Unfortunately I can’t be partial to requests and at times could not avoid crowding appeals.
This is Periyava’s blog and I am only a webmaster. So I asked Periyava on the approach and Periyava gave utharavu to streamline these requests by creating another blog – http://periyavakaryam.wordpress.com that has been exclusively for posting all appeals.
Here is the important step for all to take:
- For all those who would like to continue receiving these appeals, PLEASE visit the above blog and subscribe so that you will continue to get these postings. Subscribing is easy – just type your email in the box. You will get one activation mail – please click the link in that email – you all are set.
- For the rest, please rest assured that there will not be any more appeals in this blog.
To make these integrations seamless, I will create another menu option “Appeals” and add links to the appeals from the other blog.
Personally speaking, these appeals are for very good/noble causes only. These causes need your support. Without your support none of these dharmic karyams will be possible to implement. Waiting for one organization to do all these is impossible. Periyava Himself said that all need to participate in these sat-karyams. Seeing one more email from this blog is not a big deal. So, I STRONGLY encourage those who know and want to support these causes to visit this blog; subscribe and help these volunteers to successfully complete the projects.Even if your contribution is Rs 100/- it is still ok….The punyam we get out of these small contribution is immense. Please bookmark this new blog also.

Right now, the blog has no posting. Still please register yourselves. I already have some appeals to post, which I will do in the next few days.
