was talking to my father this morning and he was telling me that he many newspapers reported that Mahaperiyava aradhana was conducted throughout our state…I happened to see Sankara TV coverage of the event for a short time…The matham was packed – completely packed with devotees…This is not surprising for who Periyava is…But the energy level of the devotees is rising…Devotion to Periyava is spreading to each and every people…More and more people are getting to know him better..Temples are coming up everywhere..We need one or two temples in US also..He continues to be a great “agarshana sakthi” within all people!
Yesterday, in Chicago, one couple with their kid traveled 8 hours each way just to attend the aradhana event. Normally people tie up other things when they travel such a long distance….Here they came only for this event…Looking at their dedication, I remember Sri Pradosham mama’s line from one his speeches – “enakku bakthi pathalliyonnu thonarathu”!
Shri P Swaminathan (Zee TV) wrote a nice email about his day on aradhana etc….Just few lines (in Tamil) on the crowd at Sri Matham…
“அடுத்து, காஞ்சி ஸ்ரீமடம். உள்ளே காலடி எடுத்து வைக்க முடியவில்லை. இந்தக் கூட்டத்தைப் பார்த்ததும், நூறாண்டு காலம் வாழ்ந்த அந்த மகான் இன்றைக்கும் இருந்து எத்தனை குடும்பங்களுக்குத் தன் நல்லாசிகளை வழங்கி வந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்று நினைத்து விம்மினேன். ‘இந்த அளவு கூட்டம் இதுவரை பார்த்ததில்லை’ என்று பலரும் பெருமை பொங்கப் பேசினர்.
மகா பெரியவா அதிஷ்டானத்துக்கு அபிஷேகம் முடிந்து, சந்நிதி திறந்தாயிற்று. தரிசனம் வேண்டி, வரிசையில் முட்டி மோதிக் கொண்டு செல்லும்போது, ‘ஜீ டி.வி. சுவாமிநாதனா…’ என்று பலரும் கண் கலங்க பேசும்போது, அந்தக் கருணை தெய்வம் மட்டுமே கண்களுக்குத் தெரிந்தார். அவர் ஆசி இன்றி, இந்த அற்புதம் நிகழுமா? அடையாளம் கொடுத்த அண்ணல் ஆயிற்றே!“
