you can take the route from Viluppuram to pondicherry. After about 10 kms from viluppuram you will come across a 4 road round junction. Take a right from there and after about 5 – 6 kms you can reach the place vadavambalam. The adhistanam is a little interior from the main road. You can check with the local people there.
Also you can visit the sankaramadam in Villupuram and you can check the exat route. It is about 30 min from there.
