ஜனக மாதாவும், கோமாதாவும் பாலைச் சுரக்கிற மாதிரி, தானியங்கள், (உ)லோஹங்கள், தாதுக்கள் ஆகிய வளங்களையும், இவை எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக நீர்வளம் என்பதையும் பூமி சுரக்கிறது. அதனால் தான் பூமாதா என்பது. பசுத்தாய் என்பது போல் புவித்தாய். மிருகமாகத் தெரிகிற பசு, ஜடமாகத் தெரிகிற பூமி ஆகிய எல்லாவற்றிலும் உயிருள்ளதும் அன்பே உருவமானதுமான மாத்ருத்வத்தை –- தாய்த் தத்துவத்தை –- கண்டு கொண்டு நம்முடைய முன்னோர்கள் கோமாதா என்றும் பூமாதா என்றும் சொன்னார்கள்.  – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்

Just as Janaka Matha and Gho Matha secrete milk and feed us, Mother Earth offers us wealth like grains, metals, and minerals and above all the most important wealth namely water. That is why she has come to be called as Mother Earth. Just like the cow is revered as ‘Gho Matha’, She is revered as ‘Bhoo Matha’. Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – By Sri Periyava Anugraham and all of your support we managed to rescue 98 Gho Mathas/Rishabams/Calves last month (Dec’ 21) including the Dec’ 31 rescue which I posted few days back. The pictures posted below are directly from slaughterhouses from where these jeevans were rescued.
