ரொம்பவும் வயஸான தசையிலும், மற்ற ஆகாரங்கள் குறைந்து அல்லது நின்றே போன நிலையிலும் ஒரு மனிதருடைய உடலில் உயிரை நிறுத்திக் கொடுக்கும் உணவாகப் பசு தருகிற பாலே இருக்கிறது. நம்முடைய ஆயுஸின் ஆரம்பத்தில் ஒரு குறுகிய காலகட்டத்தில் மாத்திரம் நம்மைப் பெற்றெடுத்த தாய் பால் தருகிறாளென்றால் பசுவோ நம்முடைய ஆயுள்காலம் பூராவும் பால் தருகிறது. அதனால்தான் உறவுகளிலேயே பரமோத்தமமான தாயுறவைப் பசுவுக்குத் தந்து ‘கோமாதா’ என்றே சொல்வது. ‘கோ’ என்றால் ‘பசு’ என்று எல்லோருக்கும் தெரியும். It is the cow’s milk that gives succor to a man who is aging and is in the twilight of one’s life and rendered too weak to consume any form of food and has stopped taking food altogether, thereby sustaining his life breath and keeping the body and soul together. While our biological mother who has given birth to us feeds us with milk only for a short span of time during our childhood alone, the cow offers us milk all through our lives. That’s why it has come to be called as “Gho Matha’, having been attributed the position of the mother – the noblest relationship of all relationships possible. Everyone knows that “Gho” means ‘cow’. Jaya Jaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara – Last month and this month has been very busy on several aspects. By Sri Periyava Anugraham and all of your support we managed to rescue 212 Gho Mathas/Rishabams/Calves last month (Sep’ 21). The number includes the 104 Gho Mathas/Rishabams/Varahams/Ajas rescued as well. Saved many cows and calves from the cattle market just before they were boarded to slaughter house trucks or before the cows and calves were separated.

The rehabilitation of these rescued jeevans are pretty challenging and we are working very actively on that. I will post an update on that shortly. As seen in the pictures, there are so many innocent cows and calves who look beautiful and majestic that are mercilessly sold for slaughter. Posting below a few pics.
