If the female cow offers the food directly as milk, the bull slogs in the field during farming and gives food through greens and grains. Like this the entire cattle species happens to be feeding the stomach of human species. For that sake we ought to show immense gratitude and Bhakthi towards them. Some of the Cow rescues are nail biting. They drain a lot of energy and emotion out of you. One such rescue happened recently when we found eight beautiful native Manaparai breed rishabams that were tied around the Kerala slaughterhouse truck in Melmalayanur cattle market.  Unable to bear these beautiful rishabams going for slaughter, we started talking to the Kerala broker (Abbas) but he quoted an exorbitant price that left us shocked and stranded. The guy was probably drunk and that may be one of the reasons for his behavior. The cows were all boarded to Kerala and almost half the way when something dawned on Abbas that he reached out to us and agreed to the price we asked for. We were so happy asked him to immediately off board all those rishabams in the middle of the night and safely bought to our temporary shelter in Melmalayanur. It was such a close call; had the rishabams reached Kerala there was no way we could have rescued them. Now these cows are with organic farmers and they are leading their lives peacefully helping a great deal with their agriculture. As always, we are monitoring them frequently along with executing a strong agreement with the organic farmers. Pictures and video clips of the rishabams tied around slaughter house truck, they getting off boarded in the middle of the night and now doing farmingare below. Rishabams off-boarded from the slaughter house truck at the middle of the night half way to Kerala 

Rishabams bought to our temporary shelter in Melmalayanur the same night and provided food. Remember they did not have any food from the morning which is the norm for all the cows that embark to Kerala. They were in our temporary shelter for a few days resting and recuperating.

Rishabams given to organic farmers after executing a strong agreement and we monitoring them on a monthly basis. They are now helping the farmers big time in ploughing their fields.
