Today is Sri Pudhu Periyava’s 86th Jayanthi mahotsvam day. Let us pray to Him to bless us all with devotion, guru bakthi and progress in our spiritual path.  He is always “pudhu” – new and fresh every day with a mesmerizing smile – He always worked hard like a young man even in his 70s. His guru bakthi is unparalleled, his love for world prosperity and particularly uplifting poor people is unmatched. His support to vaideeaks, sivacharyas and honoring agnihotris is beyond words. His love towards Kamakshi is priceless!  His compassion for everyone is experienced by so many devotees who were working closely with Him. When doing chandramouleeswarar puja on Pradosham days, He would look like Parameswaran Himself – I personally experienced this during His camp in Chennai few years back. We can’t see any other acharya like our dearest Pudhu Periyava.

As you all are aware, today is the Bhoomi puja for Ram mandir in Ayodhya and we all know how much Sri Periyava worked hard for years to bring an agreement with all parties in Ayodhya matter. With His blessings and efforts, today, the temple is going to come there. The Bhoomi puja aligning with His jayanthi is no accidental coincidence – it is the divine message to all that how much Lord Rama blesses Periyava’s work.

The following ashtothram chanting was done by Sri Venugopala of Kanchipuram. The pictures are so appropriate for each namavali, which I usually call as visual namavali! Disclaimer – I used this video today for my puja. Pronunciation is perfect!
