By chanting the name of Bhagawan we attain Punniya. You may say “how to find time for all these since we are busy earning for our livelihood”. Earning is necessary for persons with family. But do we spend all our time spent on that? If we analyze we will know how much time is spent in meaningless talks, making fun, looking around, and reading or commenting about news from the magazines. Such time can be spent in chanting Bhagawan Nama. Even if one is not able to allocate some time exclusively, we can chant the name of Bhagawan while travelling by bus or train to the office. We run after money. We cannot take a single paise with us from here when we leave this world. In the other world only Bhagawan’s name (Bhagawan Nama) is the only currency that will be valid for spending.
Mind is Bhagawan’s place. We have made it into a dustbin. We should clean and sweep it, seat Bhagawan, and we also should peacefully sit there. Everyday should meditate this way (Bhagawan Smaranai) for at least five minutes. *Even if the whole world sinks we should do this without fail. When there is really a deluge and the whole world sinks this Bhagawath Smaranai (Bhagawan Nama) only will come to our aid. – Pujasri Kanchi Maha Periyava

I have a humble request or suggestion. Based on the advise of our Hon. Prime Minister, in the event of lighting lamp at 9 PM IST tomm. (April 5, 2020), can we please chant Maha Mantra (Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare) during those nine minutes instead of chatting and expending our time?
Maha Periyava has talked at length about the importance of Bhagawan Nama Japam and for those who believe will certainly agree the great crisis the world is undergoing is because of many accumulated Karmas (cause and effect, action and reaction) and one of the best remedy is Bhagawan Nama Sangeerthanam, the Moksha Upayam in this Kali Yuga. Though it is called Maha Mantra it absolutely does NOT require any rules/regulations/stipulations for chanting. Anyone can chant this at anytime, anywhere, whatever condition they are in; No rules or regulations whatsoever (Niyamam). The same cannot be said with many Mantras which have some stipulations. We do not have to stop chanting with 9 minutes tomm. but can consider doing so everyday for our Athma and Lokha Kshemam.
Please consider passing this message to as many people as possible; the more the divinity, the merrier it is. Surrendering to Bhagawan is paramount and gaining spiritual strength is the need of the hour more than anything else. Rama Rama
