யஜ்ஞம் குறைந்து போனதால் அதற்கு நெய் செலவிடவும் இப்போது வாய்ப்பு குறைந்துவிட்டது. ஆனாலும் தெய்வ கார்யங்கள் இப்போதும் அகத்துப் பூஜை, கோயில் பூஜை, மடாலயங்களில் பூஜை என்ற ரூபத்தில் நடந்து வருவதால் நெய்த்தீபம் ஏற்றும் வழக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொள்ளலாம். நாமே பால் தோய்த்து வெண்ணெய் எடுத்து சுத்தமான பசு நெய் தயாரித்துக் கோயில்களுக்கும், மடாலயங்களுக்கும் கொடுப்பது பரம புண்யம். நெய் விளக்கின் ஜ்யோதிஸ் வெளுப்பாக வெளியே வீசுகிற மாதிரியே உள்ளுக்குள்ளேயும் பவித்ரத்வத்தை ஊட்டும். தெய்வ ஸந்நிதானத்தில் அது இருப்பது ரொம்பவும் விசேஷம். கோயில்களில் சுக்ரவாரங்களிலாவது நெய்த் தீபம் எரியுமாறு ஏற்பாடு செய்ய வேண்டியது பக்தலோகத்தின் கடமை. கோமாதா நமக்குப் பல விதங்களிலும் பரம கருணையோடு செய்ய முன் வரும் உபகாரங்களில் எதையும் நாம் தவறவிடாமல் உபயோகப்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். இப்போது நாம் அவளிடமிருந்து பெற வேண்டியதையும் தவறவிட்டு, அல்லது தப்பான முறையில் பயன்படுத்திக் கொண்டு, அவளுக்கு நாம் தர வேண்டிய ரக்ஷணையும் தவறவிட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம். – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்
As performing Yagnas has dwindled nowadays, consumption of ghee for those purposes also has also gone down. But as many spiritual activities are going on still in the form of Pujas at homes, temples and Mutts, we should cultivate the habit of burning ghee lamps during all Pujas. It is a great Punya to make pure ghee at home by ourselves, by fermenting the milk and offer it to Mutts and temples. Just as the light of ghee lamp shines white and bright outside, it illuminates the mind that lies within and makes it pure too. It gives out unique qualities when present in Sanctum Sanctorum. It is the duty of the devotees to make sure that ghee lamps are lit in temples at the least on Fridays. We should try to utilize without fail, all the aid that Gho Matha comes forward to offer us with utmost compassion.
