(Thanks to Sudhan for this rare photo – look at Periyava in this photo – amazing – with all those rudraksha malas, He is a walking Parameswaran Himself)
I am very happy to know about Medhasri Dharmambal’s life and how she was associated with Mahaperiyava and other Periyavas for a very long time. Apparently, this was published few years back as a book. This is shared to benefit all those who have not seen this before. Thanks to Sri Chandrasekhar who forwarded this to me recently on the direction of Sri Kumbakonam Swamigal. Apparently, Sri Kumbakonam Swamigal was given sanyasa diksha by Sri Thambudu Swamigal, whom we all know from Sri Kanchi Matam.
I went through the slokas and meanings – it is so nicely written – she must be a great Sanskrit scholar and have described Mahaperiyava very beautifully in each sloka. Enjoy these great slokas and include in your parayanam for Mahaperiyava!
Please note that I have not met Sri Kumbakonam Swamigal and came to know only now. Obviously, I don’t have any contact information about Swamigal. I will request Sri Chandrasekhar to follow the comments and reply to any questions you may have.
