காரியமின்மையைச் சொல்லவே ஓயாக்காரிய அவதாரம்

இந்த நிலைக்கு வழி திறந்து விடுவதற்காகவே அவதாரம் பண்ண வேண்டுமென்று ஸ்வாமி (தக்ஷிணாமூர்த்தி) நினைத்தார். “ஒன்றும் செய்யாமலிருப்பதை ஜனங்களுக்கு நன்றாக ஞாபகப்படுத்தி நிலை நாட்டுவதற்காக, இதுவரை ஒன்றும் செய்யாமல் சும்மாயிருந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் நாம் அவதாரம் செய்து சுற்றிச் சுற்றி ஸஞ்சாரம் செய்து, ஊர் ஊராக உபதேசம் செய்து, ஸபை ஸபையாக வாதம் செய்து, கட்டுக் கட்டாகப் புஸ்தகங்கள் எழுதி அத்வைத ஸித்தாந்த ஸ்தாபனம் செய்ய வேண்டும். எத்தனைக்கெத்தனை பேச்சே இல்லை என்றிருந்துவிட்டோமோ அத்தனைக்கத்தனை பேசி, அலைந்து திரிந்து, பேசாமல், அசையாமல் இருப்பதான லக்ஷ்யத்தை ப்ரசாரம் செய்ய வேண்டும். [விடாமல் சிரித்தவாறு] கார்யமே பண்ணாமலிருந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் நாம், ஓயமால் கார்யம் பண்ணிக் கொண்டிருக்கிற ஜனங்களிடம் போய், கார்யமே பண்ணாமலிருக்கும் நிலையைப் பற்றித் தெரிவிப்பதற்காக ஓயாமல் கார்யம் பண்ண வேண்டும்” என்றிப்படி ஸ்வாமி தீர்மானித்துக் கொண்டார்!

Incarnation of ceaseless activity to propagate remaining idle

Swami (Dakshinamurthy) thought that incarnation should take place to only open the path to this state.  “In order to remind the people about being inactive and establish it, let us, who is remaining idle, not doing anything, incarnate, tour around and around, preach village after village, debate in assemblies after assemblies, write piles and piles of books and establish the philosophy of Adwaita.  Let us speak as much as we have kept quiet, roam around and propagate the objective of remaining quiet and being immobile.  (Laughing continuously), Swami decided that, like him, who is not doing any activity, shall undertake activity ceaselessly, to go to the people who are ever engaged in activities and tell them about the state of being inactive!
