Stepping into 10th year of Periyava blogging

decorated_right_hand_blessing

WordPress just sent a note to congratulate me for 9th year anniversary for registering with them! 9 years – wow!  Can’t believe that the time flies so fast. In this 9 years, we have done many great things in this blog – all are His play – I take no credit. On top of everything, I had done my part to be absolutely truthful & honest to you all – at all times. “Honesty is religion” says Sri Sivan Sar. I am trying to follow that one to the best extent possible.  Overall, been a great journey with so many interesting twists and learnings on a daily basis. I learn everyday from this blog – every day – something is being posted daily – even from comments. Personally, a huge transformation for me as an individual.  In this 9 years, if I had accidentally hurt any of you in anyway, pl accept my apologies.

There were multiple times I thought if I should end this blogging but I don’t know what I would know if I don’t do this – this is all I know – this is my way of being in His smaranai.

Thank you all readers for being part of this holy journey.

My namaskaram to our acharyas’ holy feet.

Special thanks to my cousin Murali in Singapore for his encouragement when I started this.

Periyavas are leading us and our journey continues …

  1. Ram Ram,

    Dear Mahesh,

Pranams to Acharya’s feet and you. This blog is been part of my daily life. It takes my mind from daily chores to Periyava’s smaranam. I had opportunity to meet you couple of times last year.

Due to prarabdham and my own arrogance I had done few things which are not acceptable. But I cannot change my past and its effect on my life forever in this jenma..

I have strong belief that Periyava karunai would put me back on right path and take me to next stages in upcoming jenmaas towards Aathma Saakshaathkaaram.

    MahaPeriyava Saranam.

    Thanks,
    Venkat

  2. Congrats and keep going, Maheshji

  3. Ten years have gone by??? Incredible. This blog is my most favourite to get myself energised, sober, serene and humble and to realise that I am in the midst of the Pratyaksha Deivam in HH Mahaperiava and that the contents posted here are sacred and solemn. We have grown old by 10 years since the opening of this blog, but the process has enriched and ennobled us, all by His grace. It is of course tedious to keep your tight schedule and to spare time here. It is like being in Varanasi day in and day out but never get tired of taking bath in that beautiful and holy Ganga. The great river may look intimidating but once you get immersed in the water, oh what a blessing and blissful feeling. You are enabling us all to this great experience. Thanks. Our best wishes to you and your family, Mahesh.

  7. Dear Mahesh,

Sincere thanks to your unfaltering dedication and devotion. 9 years of blogging is no small achievement and am sure Periyava is enjoying this as much as each of the devoted readers. This blog has taught me a lot, made me think things big and small and makes me reflect on becoming a better person every time I read a post. This is an anchor for me. Thank you.

  10. Thank you all for kind words. While it is true that I had few moments like that in the past, at this point, this blog – rather this temple belongs to the community. Individuals don’t matter. A great satsang that Mahaperiyava Himself formed for all of us would continue forever with His blessings. I will continue to contribute whatever I could. Sai, as you all see has stepped up and contributing a lot. Let us maintain and enhance the divinity of this place. Let us all be honest and sincere to Periyava – that is the only way we show our devotion to Him.

    Periyava Padham Sharanam.

  37. Jai Ma

May many more decades of joy and fulfillment be vouchsafed to you and your loved ones through the blessings of Mother Kamakshi and the most holy Periyavas.

One tries to share as many posts from this blog to Sri Anirvan Rachanavali Facebook page, which is run as an adjunct to haimavati-anirvan.org

That sharing brings Mahaswamigal’s thoughts and advice to a largely bengali community who otherwise remain woefully ignorant about the role of Mahaswamigal in reviving not just the entire Sanatana Dharma, but also the entire field of vaidika studies.

Sri Anirvan, along with Sri Aurobindo, took up the cudgels to make Vaidika symbolism and sadhana more accessible to the lay public. In this, he along with other 20th century Vaidika scholars like Madhusudana Ojha of Rajasthan, pushed forward the vision of Mahaswamigal in other parts of the country.

Many outstanding Vaidika scholars who were also realized souls, like the above, such as Swami Ramtirtha, did not care to propagate the teachings of the Vedas, as such. Swami Jnaneshwarananda, the blind sage of Maharashtra, was very active in promoting the respect and worship of the vedas, at a period when such activities were moribund in the larger northern region.

All are part of Mahaswamigal’s own divine mission to revive and restore Vaidika learning.

I pray to holy Mahaswamigal to bless the growing presence of vidwat parishats on the internet and blogs such as this to keep the spirit of Sanatana Dharma pure and strong.

This blog is SriSri Mahaswamigal’s loving blessing sent to its creator and all the readers He is daily touching with his love, karuna and anugraha.

  38. Congratulations on completion of 9 yrs. awesome message with photos of my guruji.

May mahaperiyava bless you all, team and readers.
