“அதை என்னிடம் கொடுத்துடச் சொல்லு”

தன் அபார கருணையினால் சர்வேஸ்வரர் உலகோரை உய்விக்க திருஅவதாரம் ஏற்று ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளெனும் எளிமையானத் தோற்றத்தில் சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் மேன்மையோடு நம்மிடையே அருள் பாலித்தது நாம் செய்த புண்ணியபலனே!

தவ வாழ்வில் மேருவாய் நின்று, ஞான நெறியில் இமயமாய் உயர்ந்து, நாடி வருபவர்களும் தேடிப் போகிறவர்களும் நற்கதியடைவதற்கு வழி காட்டும் வள்ளலாய் ஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளை பக்தர் ஸ்ரீ பரணீதரன் அவர்கள் அனுபவித்து எழுதியுள்ளார்.

அவர் எழுதிய ‘தரிசனங்கள்’ எனும் புத்தகத்தில் கண்ட சம்பவமிது.

1966ம் ஆண்டு ஸ்ரீ பரணீதரன் காளஹஸ்த்தியில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்கச் சென்றபோது அங்கே ஒரு இளம் துறவியை சந்தித்தார். தபாலாபீசில் பணியாற்றிக் கொண்டிருந்த இவருக்கு உலக வாழ்க்கை திடீரென்று கசந்துவிட்டதில் அக்கணத்திலிருந்து ஆன்மிகத்தில் இந்தத் துறவி ஈடுபடலானார். கனவிலும், நினைவிலும் பல அற்புத அனுபவங்களைப் பெற்றார். தனக்குள் ஒரு மாயசக்தி உருவாகி வலுவடைந்து வருவதை உணர்ந்தார்.

சிறுக சிறுக சித்திகள் தோன்ற ஆரம்பித்தன. கண்களில் ஒளி கூடியது. கருத்தில் ஆழம் மிகுந்தது. அடியார் கூட்டம் இவரை சூழ்ந்து கொண்டது.

ஆனால் இவருக்கோ நிம்மதி பறிபோனது. இவருக்கு வந்தடைந்த சக்திகள் யாவும் இவரது அமைதியான வாழ்விற்கு இடையூறாக அமைந்தன.

‘என்ன செய்வது? யாரிடம் சொல்வது?’ என்று சித்துக்கள் கைவந்த இவரே தவிக்கும் நிலை ஏற்பட்டது.

அப்போதுதான் ஒரு தெய்வ வழிகாட்டல் நடந்தது. ஒரு நாள் கனவில் ஒரு மகான் தோன்றினார்.

“ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை நீ தரிசித்துவிட்டு வா உனக்கு நிச்சயம் நிம்மதி கிடைக்கும்” என்று சொப்பனத்தில் தோன்றிய மகான் சொல்லிவிட்டு மறைந்தார். உடனே அடுத்த நாளே ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா இருக்கும் இடத்தைத் தேடி அறிய இவர் முற்பட்டார். யார்யாரிடமோ விசாரித்து ஓரிரவு இந்த காளஹஸ்தி புனித தலத்தை வந்தடைந்தார் இந்த இளம் சுவாமிஜி!

அன்று ஸ்ரீகிருஷ்ண ஜயந்தி புண்ணியதினம்! ஆகம, சில்ப சதஸுக்காக வெளிமாநிலங்களிருந்து வந்திருந்த கலைஞர்கள், கோஷ்டி கோஷ்டியாக அங்கு வந்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க நின்றனர். டில்லியிலிருந்து வந்திருந்த புத்த பிட்சு ஒருவரும் அச்சமயத்தில் அங்கு வந்து ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசித்துக் கொண்டார்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைத் தரிசிக்க முன்தின இரவே வந்திருந்த அந்த இளம் துறவியும் அப்போது அங்கு வந்தார். அவரையும் சார்ந்தவர்களையும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தமக்கு இடப்புறத்தில் அமரச் சொல்லிவிட்டு இரண்டொரு வார்த்தைகளால் நலம் விசாரித்தார்.

சற்று நேரம் மௌனம் நிலவியது.

பின்னர் அங்கே சந்திரமௌளீஸ்வரர்  சந்நிதியில் பாடிக்கொண்டிருந்த வித்வான் பசுபதியை அழைத்து வரும்படி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடமிருந்து உத்தரவானது,. பசுபதி வந்தார். வந்தனம் செய்துக் கொண்டார்.

“இன்னிக்கு ஸ்ரீ ஜயந்தியாச்சே. கிருஷ்ணன் மேலே கீர்த்தனம் பாடேன்” என்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா கூற, பசுபதியும் தேவகானம் பொழியலானார்.

அதை ரசித்துக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்த ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தியானத்தில் ஆழ்ந்து விட்டார். புற உலகை விடுத்து, அகத்தின் ஆழத்தில் ஆத்மானுபவம் என்ற மேலான நிலையில் லயித்தது போலிருந்தார். மற்றவர்கள் பசுபதியின் இசையை மட்டும் கேட்டனர். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளோ அந்தத் தெய்வ ஒலியில் இரண்டறக் கலந்து விட்டார். இல்லை கோவிந்தனாகவே மாறிவிட்டார்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அமர்ந்திருந்த நிலையும், தன் திருக்கரங்களை புல்லாங்குழல் வைத்திருப்பதுபோல் அற்புத பாவமும் ஸ்ரீ பரணீதரனை இப்படியெல்லாம் நினைக்க வைத்தது.

பரவசமூட்டும் இந்த பிரும்மானந்த தரிசனத்தில் மனதைப் பறிக்கொடுத்து அங்கே தன் பிரச்சனைக்கு தீர்வு காணவந்த இளம்துறவியும் தியானத்தில் ஆழ்ந்துவிட்டார். ஆடாமல் அசையாமல் ஒரு சமாதிநிலையில் ஒன்றி விட்டார்.

தாய்ப்பறவை தன் குஞ்சுப் பறவையை உயர உயர அழைத்துச் செல்வதுபோல ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளும் அந்த இளம் சந்நியாசியை உலக நினைவு நீங்கிய உன்னத நிலைக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றாரோ என்னவோ.!

சொல்லால் உணர்த்துவதும், கண்ணால் பார்ப்பதும், காதால் கேட்பதும் ‘மனித மட்டத்தில்’  வாழும் நமக்குத்தானே! சிந்தனை அதிர்வுகளாலேயே தத்துவங்களைப் புரிய வைப்பதும் சாதனைகள் புரிவதும் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா போன்ற அருந்தவ செம்மல்களுக்கு சாதாரண லீலையன்றோ!

இப்படி சுமார் ஐந்து நிமிடங்கள் இருவருமே நம் மனதுக்கு எட்டாத பேரான்ந்த வானில் சஞ்சரித்துவிட்டு கண் மலர்ந்தார்கள்.

இசை மழையும் நின்றது.

மைசூரிலிருந்து வந்திருந்த இந்த இளம் துறவியும் விடைப்பெற்றுக் கொண்டார்.

பிறகு ஸ்ரீ பரணீதரனும் அவருடன் ஸ்ரீ கண்ணனுமாக அந்த மைசூர் சுவாமிஜி தங்கியிருந்த விடுதிக்குச் சென்றார்கள். சிவப்பு நிற பட்டாடையில் கண்களில் ஒளி வீச அவர் கம்பீரமாக அமர்ந்திருந்தார். மரியாதைகளைத் தெரிவித்து அவரிடம் ஸ்ரீ பரணீதரன் கேட்டபோது தான், கன்னடத்தில் தன்னுடைய பூர்விகத்தை பற்றியும் தற்போது மனம் திறந்து கன்னடத்தில் சொன்னார்.

“நீங்கள் ஆச்சாரிய சுவாமிகளிடம் (ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம்) என்ன பேசினீர்கள்? அவரைத் தாங்கள் நாடி வந்த காரியம் முடிந்துவிட்டதா? என்று பரணீதரன் கேட்டார்.

“இல்லை! என் எதிர்காலம் அவர் கையில்தான் இருக்கிறது. என்னை நாடி வந்துள்ள சித்திகளையும், பிற சக்திகளையும் சுவாமிகளிடம் அர்ப்பணித்துவிட்டுப் போக வேண்டும் என்றுதான் வந்தேன். இதையெல்லாம் என்னிடமிருந்து எடுத்துக் கொண்டு, அவரால் எனக்கு மனச்சாந்தியை அளிக்கமுடியும் என்ற பரிபூர்ண நம்பிக்கை இப்போது ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.

நான் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளுடன் தனிமையில் பேச வேண்டும். மறுமுறை அவரைத் தரிசித்து தனிமையில் பேசாமல் நான் இங்கிருந்து போவதாக உத்தேசமில்லை. அப்படிப்பட்ட ஒரு சந்திப்புக்கு நீங்கள் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் கேட்டு அனுமதி பெற்றுத் தர வேண்டும்” என்றார்.

பரணீதரன், கண்ணனைப் பார்த்தார். ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் சுவாமிஜியின் வேண்டுகோளைத் தெரிவிப்பதாக சொன்னதும்தான் அவர் சமாதானமானார்.

பிறகு அவர்கள் பேச்சு திசை மாறி சொந்த விஷயத்திற்கு வந்தது. கண்ணன் தனக்கு சில மாதங்களாக வயிற்று வலி இருப்பதாகவும், ஆகாரம் செல்லவில்லை என்றும் சொல்லிவிட்டு ‘இதோ இவருக்கும் அதே தொந்திரவுதான்’ என்று பரணீதரனையும் காட்டினார்.

“அப்படியா?” என்றுக் கேட்ட சுவாமிஜி பக்கத்திலிருந்த ஒரு வெற்று வெள்ளிச் சொம்பில் கையை விட்டு விபூதியை வரவழைத்துக் கொடுத்தார். அதை கண்ணனிடமும், பரணீதரனிடமும் கொடுத்து “இதைநீரில் கரைத்து சாப்பிடுங்கள் எல்லாம் குணமாகிவிடும்” என்றார். இதுமாதிரி ‘திடீர்’ விபூதி பெற்று அவர்களுக்குப் பழக்கமில்லை. அதனால் விபூதியை நெற்றியில் இட தயங்கினார். பின்னர் ஒரு காகிதத்தில் மடித்து வைத்துக் கொண்டனர்.

விடைபெறும் நேரம் வந்தது. அதே சொம்பில் சுவாமிஜி மீண்டும் கையை விட்டார். இம்முறை ஒரு அழகிய வெள்ளி விநாயகர் விக்ரகத்தை எடுத்தார். அதைக் கண்ணனிடம் கொடுத்தார். அதைப் பெற்றுக் கொள்வதா, கூடாதா என்று கண்ணன் தயங்கியபடி வாங்கிக் கொண்டார்.

அன்று இரவு இவர்கள் இருவரும் சென்னைக்குக் கிளம்பி ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் பிரசாதம் பெற்றுக் கொள்ளச் சென்றார்கள். இவர்கள் வந்தனம் செய்த பின் கண்ணன் அந்த மைசூர் சுவாமிஜியின் வேண்டுகோளை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் சொன்னார்.

“ஆகட்டும்” என்பது போல் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா தலை அசைத்தார். பிறகு கண்ணன் தயங்கியபடி அந்த சுவாமிஜி வீபூதி வரவழைத்துக் கொடுத்ததையும், விநாயகர் விக்ரகத்தைக் கொடுத்ததையும் கூறி, மடியிலிருந்து அந்த விக்ரகத்தையும் எடுத்துக் காட்டினார்.

கண்ணன் கையிலிருந்த விக்ரகத்தை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா உற்று நோக்கினார். அழகிய சிறு வெண்காடியை விரல்களால் வருடியபடி ஒரு மோகனப் புன்னகையை உதிர்த்தார்.

“அவர்கிட்டேயிருந்து நீ ஏண்டா இதை வாங்கிண்டே” என்றார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா. கண்ணனுக்கு சப்த நாடியும் ஒடுங்கிவிட்டது. அபசாரம் செய்துவிட்டதுபோல வாயடைத்து நின்றார். பின் தைரியத்தை வரவழைத்துக் கொண்டு அவர் கொடுக்கிற போது மறுக்க முடியலே என்று இழுத்தார்.

“சரி போனால் போகிறது. அதை அவரிடமே கொண்டுபோய் கொடுத்துடு. ராத்திரி என்னைப் பார்க்கவரும்போது இதை என்னிடம் கொடுத்து விடச் சொல்லு. போயிட்டு வா” என்று அருளினார்.

பெரிய சுமை நீங்கியவர்களாக இருவரும் பிரசாதம் பெற்றுக் கிளம்பி சுவாமிஜியிடம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை சந்திக்க அனுமதி கிடைத்ததைக் கூறி, விக்ரகத்தையும் தந்துவிட்டு இரயில் ஏறினார்.

“என் சித்துக்களை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் அர்ப்பணித்துவிட்டு போக வந்தேன் என்று மைசூர் சுவாமிஜி முன்பு கூறியதையும், இப்போது ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அந்த சித்துவிக்ரகத்தை சுவாமிஜியை தன்னிடம் கொடுத்துவிட சொன்னதையும் இருவரும் ஒப்பிட்டனர்.

ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா சித்துக்களை அறியாதவரல்ல! அத் தெய்வம் நினைத்தால் ஆயிரம் சித்து விளையாடல்களைக் காட்டலாம்…..அப்படி அற்புதங்களைக் காட்டும் வித்தை தெரிந்த மைசூர் சுவாமிஜி போன்றவர்களே அதை அர்ப்பணித்துவிட்டு சாந்தி பெறவரும் சன்னதி ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் தெய்வசன்னதியாய் இருக்க அதன் மேன்மையை என்னென்பது?

அப்பேற்பட்ட மேன்மை நம்கெல்லாம் எளிமையான திருஉருவத்தில் அருள்பொழிய காத்திருக்க நம் சரணாகதம் ஒன்றே நமக்கெல்லாம் சகல நன்மைகளையும் சர்வ மங்கள, ஐஸ்வர்யங்களையும் அள்ளி வழங்கும் என்பது உண்மையல்லவா?

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் மீளா அடிமையெனும் அற்புத நாயன்மார்

பிரம்மஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமாவின் பெரியவா பக்தி எனும் ஆலமரத்தின் வேர்களாய் எழும்பூரில் பல விழுதுகளாகி பல பக்தர்கள் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பக்தியை ருசித்தனர். அவருள் திரு.கல்யாணசுந்தரம் என்பவர் குறிப்பிடத் தக்கவராவர்.

பிரதோஷம் மாமா எழும்பூரில் இருந்த குவார்டர்ஸுக்குப் பக்கம் இவர் வீடும், மாமா ரிடையர் ஆனவுடன் அவரிருந்த ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளைக் கொண்டாடி மகிழ்ந்த மங்களமான வீட்டில் அதன்பின் கல்யாணசுந்தரம் வந்தால் அங்கே அந்த பூஜைகள் தொடர்ந்து நடக்க ஏதுவாயிருக்குமே என்று மாமா விரும்பினார்.

அங்கிருந்த மாமரம் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளை அடையாளம் காட்டுவதாக இருந்தது. அதனால் தனக்குப் பிறகும் வீட்டில் புனிதம் கெடாமலிருக்க மாமா அங்கு கல்யாணசுந்தரம் வந்தால் நல்லதென நினைத்தார்.

இதை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடமும் விண்ணப்பித்து அனுக்ரஹம் பெற்றார். ஆனால் இந்த குவார்டர்ஸ் 18F என்பது ரயில்வே ட்ராஃபிக் செக்ஷனை சார்ந்தது. கல்யாணசுந்தரம் வசிப்பதோ மெகானிகல் செக்ஷனை சார்ந்த 18-A வீடு. ஒன்றுக் கொன்றை மாற்ற இயலாது. அதனால் தான் இந்த மாற்றத்தைக் கேட்டு விண்ணப்பித்த போது அது மேலதிகாரிகளால் நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

கல்யாணசுந்தரத்திற்கு ஆதங்கம். இதை பணி ஓய்வுக்குப்பின் காஞ்சியில் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு வாசம் புரிந்த மாமாவிடம் வந்து முறையிட்டார். மாமா ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் போய் விக்ஞாபனம் செய்யச் சொன்னார்.

இவர் சென்று ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் முறையிட்டபோது மௌனம் ஒன்றே பதிலாக வந்தது.

ஆனால் அடுத்த பத்து நாட்களுக்குள் அந்த அதிசயம் நடந்தது.

மாமா இருந்த வீட்டை ராகவன் என்ற டிராஃபிக் இன்ஸ்பெக்டருக்கு கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. ஆனால் இவரோ அந்த வீட்டில் ஏற்கனவே பூஜை இத்யாதிகள் நடந்திருப்பதால் ஏனோ அங்கு குடியேறத் தயங்கினார்.

அவருக்கு வேறு வீடு இருந்தால் நல்லதென்று தோன்றியது. அந்தக் காலனியில் 200க்கும் மேற்பட்ட வீடுகள். அவர் அதில் கல்யாணசுந்தரத்தை நாடி வந்ததுதான் அதிசயம். தனக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்ட 18F வீட்டிற்கு இவர் போவாரா? என்று தயங்கிக் கேட்டார். கல்யாணசுந்தரத்திற்கோ மிக ஆச்சர்யம். தானே பழம் நழுவிப் பாலில் விழ இருவரும் ஒருவருக்கு ஒருவர் வீட்டை மாற்றிக் கொள்ள விண்ணப்பம் எழுதி அனுப்பினார்கள்.

அதிகாரிகளுக்கு இதை ஏற்பதில் எந்தத் தடையுமில்லை. ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் அருளினாலும், பிரதோஷம் மாமா அதீத பக்தியின் காரணத்தால் மட்டுமே இப்படி ஒரு அதிசயம் சாத்யமாகியிருப்பதாக திரு. கல்யாணசுந்தரம் பூர்ணமாக உணர்கிறார்.

“Ask him to give it to me”

Shri Mahaperiyava, who is the avatar of Shri Adi Shankara, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

Periyava, who stood as Meru in penance, lofty like the Himalayas in knowledge, and as one who grants wishes to all the devotees who seek Him, has been talked about very beautifully by Shri Bharanidharan. This experience is from his book “Darisanangal”.

During 1966, when Shri Bharanidharan went to Srikalahasthi for Periyava’s darshan, he met a young sanyasi. The sanyasi used to work in the local post office, and was not happy with the materialistic life. He became a sanyasi and started to experience many miracles in his real life and dream. He felt the growth of power inside him.

He started to develop Siddhis and Sithu Vilayatu (kind of magic), the brightness of the eye increased and lot of devotees started to follow him. But he gradually started losing his peace. All the Siddhis acquired were interfering with his regular life. He did not know to whom he should talk about this.

One day there was a divine intervention and a Mahan appeared in his dreams and asked him to have darshan of Periyava. The young Sanyasi started to enquire about Periyava and at last he reached Srikalahasthi.

It was Shri Krishna Janmashtami that day. There were numerous sculptors, who had come from different states were assembled there for Periyava’s darshan. There was a Buddhist monk, who had come from Delhi for Periyava’s darshan.

The young Sanyasi had come the previous night and came in the morning for darshan. Periyava asked him and his devotees to sit on the right side, enquired about their health. After that silence prevailed for some time.

The silence was broken in some time and Periyava called Vidwan Pasupathy, who was singing in the Chandramouleeswarar Sannithi. Pasupathy came and prostrated before Periyava.

Periyava asked Pasupathy to sing on Shri Krishna as it was Janmashtami. Pasupathy started immediately to sing on Krishna.

Periyava went into state of meditation as He was enjoying the Krishna song. As other devotees present there were only listening to the music, Periyava entered into a state of oneness with the music and became one with Govinda. Shri Bharanidharan imagined these as Periyava looked like Krishna with His hands raised as if holding the flute.

The young Sanyasi, who had come to find some answers to his problem, also forgot all about that and reached Samadhi state as Pasupathy was singing. Just like how a mother bird teaches its babies to fly higher and higher, Periyava was taking the Sanyasi to a totally different world.

For humans, we communicate only with words, vision and hearing. But for Periyava, He could easily explain anything even with His thought waves. For almost 5 minutes, Periyava and Sanyasi were in the other world communicating. After that they slowly opened their eyes. The singing also stopped.

The young Sanyasi who had come from Mysore requested Periyava that he will leave and then started.

Shri Bharanidharan and Shri Kannan went to the place where the young Sanyasi stayed. He was wearing a red robe and sitting with radiant and bright eyes. Bharanidharan introduced themselves and asked about the Sanyasi. The Sanyasi started to explain about himself in Kannada.

“What did you ask Periyava? Did you get the answers to your questions?” Bharanidharan asked.

The young Sanyasi replied, “No. My future is on the hands of Periyava. I came here to give all my Siddhis and powers to Periyava. Now I am confident that I will be able to do that and in return request for peace of mind. I want to have darshan of Periyava again. I will not go back without meeting Him again. Can you arrange a darshan with Periyava?”

Bharanidharan looked at Kannan and then said that they will talk to Periyava about this.

After that they talked about something else. As they were conversing, Kannan mentioned about his stomach-ache and inability to eat properly. He also said that even Bharanidharan also had the same problem.

The young Sanyasi covered the vessel near him with his hand and produced some Vibuthi. He gave them both the Vibuthi and asked them to mix it with water and drink it. Since it was the first time they had seen someone bringing Vibuthi out of air, they kept it safely in a paper and did not apply it immediately.

When they were about to leave, the young Sanyasi again put his hands in the vessel and got a silver statue of Ganesha and handed it over to Kannan. Kannan was confused, if he should take it or not, but ended up taking it.

They wanted to start back to Chennai, so they went for Periyava’s darshan to request permission. Kannan informed Periyava about Mysore Sanyasi’s request. Periyava nodded His head in affirmative. After that Kannan took the Vibuthi and the silver Ganesha statue and showed it to Periyava.

Periyava looked at the statue and then gently felt it and let out a smile. “Why did you get this?” Periyava asked. Kannan was shocked and felt he had done a mistake. Kannan informed Periyava that he did not want to disappoint the Sanyasi and so accepted it.

“It is ok. You go and give it back to him and ask him to bring this along with him, when he comes to meet me.” Periyava replied.

Kannan was relieved to hear that from Periyava. He went and met the Sanyasi, informed him everything, gave the statue back and took the train to Chennai.

Bharanidharan and Kannan compared all the things that happened that day. The Mysore Sanyasi wanting to give his Siddhi to Periyava and Periyava asking them to give the status back to the Sanyasi.

They knew very well that Periyava was capable of performing “Sithu” vilayatu. But imagine how Periyava can also take those powers from another Sanyasi.

Even though Periyava can perform all these, He had chosen to bless all of us in a very simple way. It is true that if we surrender to Him, we will be blessed with all the happiness and peace.

There were lot of Periyava devotees in Egmore, like the hanging roots of a Banyan tree hanging on to Periyava like Brahmashree Pradosham Mama. Shri Kalayanasundaram was one such devotee.

Shri Kalyanasundaram used to stay in the house next to Pradosham Mama. When Mama retired and was supposed to move, he wanted Shri Kalyanasundaram to occupy Mama’s house. This will help Mama in continuing all the Periyava celebration that used to happen at that home. Also there was a mango tree in the house, which reminded Pradosham Mama of Periyava. So Mama wanted Kalyanasundaram to occupy that house, so the blessings that the Periyava temple had will continue.

Pradosham Mama requested Periyava about this and even got His blessings. But the application for transfer was rejected, because the house they Pradosham Mama lived was 18F, which came under the traffic section and the house that Shri Kalyanasundaram lived was 18A, which was under the Mechanical section. So the higher authorities rejected the application for transfer.

Kalyanasundaram was dejected and came to meet Pradosham Mama at his Kanchipuram house. Pradosham Mama asked Kalyanasundaram to have darshan of Periyava. When he had darshan of Periyava and told about the problem, Periyava remained silent. But after ten days that miracle happened. Pradosham Mama’s house was allotted to Raghavan. He knew that Periyava’s celebration used to happen in the house and was hesitating to move there. He felt that he will not be able to maintain the sanctity of the house. He felt it was better to move to a different house. Out of all the 200 different houses in the colony, he reached out to Shri Kalayanasundaram in 18A and asked if they will be willing to shift to 18F. Kalayanasundaram was very happy and did not expect everything to fall in place so quickly and all by itself.

The higher authorities had no problem in accepting this request. He realized that this was only due to Periyava’s kindness and the devotion of Pradosham Mama that this miracle happened.
