வழி காட்டும் தெய்வம்

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாளின் மேன்மைக்கு ஒப்பிட்டுச் சொல்வதென்றால் அது சுகப்பிரம்மரிஷி அவர்களின் யோகமேன்மையை ஒத்தது என்பது சத்தியம். சாட்சாத் தெய்வமாக அவதரித்துள்ள ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா அந்த தெய்வரகசியத்தைக் காப்பற்றுவது போல தன்னை தரிசிக்கவரும் பக்தர்களிடம் அதை மறைக்கும் விதமாகவே மிகவும் பிரயத்தனப்பட்டிருப்பது பல சம்பவங்களில் நமக்குத் தெரிகின்றது. எந்த ஒரு பிரச்சனைக்கும் தீர்வு காண முடியாத நிலையில் இந்த நடமாடும் தெய்வத்திடம் ஓடி வரும் பக்தர்களுக்குக் கூட அந்தத் தீர்வை ஏதோ அது யதேச்சையாக நடந்துவிட்டதுபோல் ஒரு தோற்றம் அளிக்கும்படி செய்வித்தருளுவதுதான் இந்த மகானின் மேன்மை என்பது உலகறியும்.

இப்படித்தான் ஸ்ரீரங்கம் எஸ்.வி. ராதாகிருஷ்ண சாஸ்திரிகளும் மஹாபெரியவாளின் தரிசன அனுபவங்கள் எனும் நூலில் விவரிக்கிறார்.

இவர் தந்தை சிமிழி பிரம்ம ஸ்ரீ வேங்கடராம சாஸ்திரிகள். ஸ்ரீ மடத்தின் அபிமானத்திற்குப் பாத்திரமானவர். ராதாகிருஷ்ண சாஸ்திரிகளின் பால்ய வயதிலேயே அவர்தம் தந்தை மறைந்தார். இரு சந்யாசிகளின் உபதேசத்தால் ராதாகிருஷ்ணன் அவர்களுக்குத் தேவி உபாசனை செய்ய அருளப்பட்டது. பல வருடங்களாக தேவி உபாசனையில் ஈடுபட்டு வந்தார்.

இப்படி உபாசனை செய்யும்போது உடலும், வாக்கும் அதில் பூர்ணமாக ஈடுபட்டதேயன்று அவர் மனம் முழுவதுமாக ஈடுபடவில்லையே என்பதாக இவருக்கு உறுத்தல் எழுந்தது. இந்த எண்ணம் வலுத்துக் கொண்டே இருந்ததில் இதற்காக தீர்வு காண இவர் பல வழிகளிலும் முயன்றார். ஆனாலும் எந்த வழியிலும் சித்தி கிட்டவில்லை. ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹா பெரியவாள் எனும் தெய்வம்தான் இதற்கு வழிக்காட்ட இயலும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையோடு இவர் புறப்படலானார்.

கார்வேட் நகரின் குளக்கரையில் அமைந்திட்ட ஒரு சிறுகொட்டகையின் வெளிப்புறத்தில் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா காட்சி தந்தார். யதிகளை நமஸ்கரித்த பின் அபிவாதனம் சொல்வதில்லை. ஆனால் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா பூர்வீக ஊரையும் தந்தை அல்லது முன்னோரது பெயரையும் குறிப்பிட்ட பின்னே நம்மை அறிமுகப்படுத்திக் கொள்வதை விரும்புவார். ஆகவே இவர் சிமிழி சாஸ்திரிகளின் குமாரன் என்பதாகச் சொல்லி நமஸ்கரித்து எழுந்தார்.

பின் தனக்கேற்பட்டிருக்கும் மனது லயப்படாத பிரச்சனையை ஸ்ரீ பெரியவாளிடம் சொல்லி வழிக்காட்டுமாறு வேண்டினார். அப்போது நடந்த சம்பாஷணை விசித்திரமானதென்றும், பல வருடங்களான பின்பும் பசுமையாக நினைவில் உள்ளதென்றும் விவரிக்கிறார்.

“என்ன சொல்லறே?” என்று கேட்டார் ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா.

பூஜை செய்யறபோது உடலும் வாக்கும் ஈடுபடுமளவிற்கு மனம் ஈடுபடவில்லை என்கிறார் சாஸ்திரிகள்.

“அதனால் என்ன தப்பு?” ஸ்ரீ பெரியவா வியப்பாகக் கேட்கிறார்.

“மனம் தனி வஸ்துவாக இருப்பதால் பூஜை முழுமையடையாதது போல தோன்றது” சாஸ்திரிகள் தயக்கத்தோடு விளக்குகிறார்.

“அதற்கு நான் என்ன செய்யணும்?” ஸ்ரீபெரியவா

“மனம் அலையாமலிருக்க வழி காட்டணும்? பக்தர்

“நீ என்ன படித்திருக்கிறாய்?”

சாஸ்திரிகள் படித்ததத்தனையும் சொல்கிறார்.

“இத்தனை படித்தும் உனக்கு விவேகமில்லை. உன் மனத்தை நான் திருத்த முடியாது” சடாலென்று ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடமிருந்து லேசான சினத்தோடு கூடிய வார்த்தைகள் வெளிவந்ததை சாஸ்திரிகள் எதிர்ப்பார்க்கவில்லை.

“என்னாலே திருத்திக்க முடியலே, அதனாலேதான் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாகிட்டே வந்தேன்” சாஸ்திரிகளும் தான் வந்த குறிக்கோளை அடையாமல் நகர்வதில்லை என்ற உறுதியோடு பதில் சொல்லி நின்றார்.

திரும்பவும் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா “என்னை என்ன செய்யச் சொல்றே?”

“மனம் சாந்தி அடைய வழி காட்ட வேண்டும்”

“நீ என்ன பூஜை செய்யறே?”

“அம்பாளைப் படத்திலும், விக்ரகத்திலும், யந்திரத்திலும் பூஜை செய்யறேன்.

அப்போ படத்திலெல்லாம் அம்பாள் இருக்கிறதா நினைச்சுண்டுதானே பூஜை பண்றே?”

“ஆமாம் அம்பாள் எல்லாத்திலும் இருக்கிறமாதிரிதான் மனசிலே எண்ணிண்டு பூஜை பண்ணுவேன்”.

“அப்போ இந்தக் குறையை அவளிடமே தெரிவித்திருக்கலாமே” என்று ஸ்ரீபெரியவா கேட்க சாஸ்திரிகள் சொல்வதறியாமல் தடுமாறுகிறார்.

ஸ்ரீபெரியவா தொடர்ந்து கொஞ்சம் கடிந்துகொள்ளும் தொனியோடு இவரிடம் கேட்கிறார். “நீ நிறைய படிச்சிருக்கே. அங்கு படம், விக்ரஹம், யந்திரம் என்று தேவியை பல இடங்களில் இருப்பதாக பாவித்து பூஜையும் செய்யறே! ஆனா ஒண்ணுலேயும் உனக்கு பிடிப்பு, நம்பிக்கை இல்லை. தேவி உன் வீட்டிலேயே உன் கிட்டேயே இருக்கிறபோது அவள்கிட்டேயே உன் குறையைச் சொல்லி அழத் தெரியலையே! அதுக்கு என்னைப் பார்க்க இத்தனை தூரம் வருவானேன்! இனிமே அவளிடமே சொல்லி அழு. இங்கே அதுக்காக வராதே. நான் என்ன பண்ணமுடியும்?”

மிக சூடான இப்படிப்பட்ட தாக்குதலை ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளிடமிருந்து எதிர்ப்பார்க்காதவராக சாஸ்திரிகள் விக்கித்து நின்றார். மனதில் பேரடி விழுந்ததுபோல உணர்வு ஏற்பட கண்களில் நீர் கோத்தது.

எப்படியோ சமாளித்துக்கொண்டு மீண்டும் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளை நமஸ்கரித்து தான் விடைப்பெற்றுக் கொள்வதாக தெரிவித்து எழுந்தார்.

ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளெனும் கருணாமலை இப்போது உருகலாயிற்று.

“உன் கிட்ட ரொம்பவும் கோச்சுண்டுட்டேனோ! நீயே ரொம்ப சிரத்தையோடு தேவியை உபாசிக்கிறே! உபாஸனை என்பதே அவள் அருகில் இருப்பதுதானே. அருகில் உன் பக்கத்தில் இருப்பவளிடம் குறையைச் சொல்லாமல் நீட்டி முழக்கிண்டு என்னிடம் வந்தாயேன்னுதான் அப்படி உனக்கு உரைக்கும்படி சொன்னேன். இனிமே எந்தக் குறையானாலும் அவளைத் தவிர வேறு யார்கிடேயும் போய் சொல்லக்கூடாது. அவள் அருள் உனக்கு நிச்சயம் உண்டு” இப்படி ஒரு அரிய வாக்கோடு சாஸ்திரிகளை ஆசீர்வதித்து ஸ்ரீபெரியவா அனுப்பிவைத்தார்.

தெய்வத்தின் திருவாக்கல்லவா? இனி சாஸ்திரிகள் பூஜையில் ஈடுபடும்போது அவர் மனம் தேவி அருகிலேயே இருப்பதை உணரும். சாட்சாத் தேவியே எதிரில் பூஜையில் வீற்றிருப்பதை ஸ்ரீபெரியவாள் அருள் வாக்குப்படி கேட்டு அறிந்துகொண்ட மனம் அங்கு இங்கு என்று இனிமேல் தாவாமல் சாட்சாத் தேவியை பூர்ண ஈடுபாட்டோடு லயித்து பூஜிக்கும்.

‘வழி காட்ட மாட்டேன்’ என்று சொன்ன ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளே சரியான வழிகாட்டிவிட்டார். என்னால் எதுவும் முடியாதென்று தன் மகிமையை மறக்க முயன்ற மகானே தன்னால் மட்டுமே முடியக்கூடியதாக இப்படிப்பட்ட இயல்பான வழிகாட்டலை அருளிவிட்டார் என்று ஸ்ரீ ராதாகிருஷ்ண சாஸ்திரிகள் மெய்சிலிர்க்கும் அனுபவத்தை சொல்கிறார்.

அன்றைய நாளிலிருந்து கடும் துயரிலும், பெரும் சங்கடத்திலும் தேவியிடம் மட்டுமே வேண்டிக் கொள்வதாக சாஸ்திரிகள் கூறினாலும் அந்த தேவியின் சொரூபத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் அவர் ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளையும் தரிசிப்பார் என்பது சத்தியமே!

சுப்ரீம் பவர்

டாக்டர் சுப்ரமணியசுவாமி அவர்கள் ஒரு அபூர்வமான சம்பவத்தை விவரிக்கிறார். இவர் 1987 ஆம் ஆண்டு கச்சத்தீவிற்கு சென்று இந்திய மீனவர்களின் உரிமையை நிலை நாட்ட புறப்பட்டார். இதை அறிந்து இவரை காவல்துறை தடுத்து நிறுத்தி கைது  செய்துவிட்டது. நீங்கள் சென்னைக்கு திரும்பிப் போவதாக இருந்தால் விடுதலை செய்கிறோம் என்ற அவர்கள் நிர்பந்தத்தால் இவர் வேறு வழியின்றி கச்சத்தீவு செல்வதை விட்டுவிட்டு சென்னை திரும்பவேண்டியதாயிற்று.

இவருக்கோ அவமானமாகவும் ஏக்கமாகவும் இருந்தது!

மன அமைதிக்காகவும், ஸ்ரீ மகானைத் தரிசித்தால் வழி பிறக்கும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையோடும் காஞ்சிபுரம் சென்றார். ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடம் ஏறக்குறைய அழுகுரலில் சுப்ரமணியசுவாமி இதைப்பற்றி முறையிட்டார்.

“என் அசட்டுதனத்தைக் கண்டு, பெரியவாளுக்கு இரக்கம் கலந்த புன்னகை வந்தது” என்கிறார் இவர்.

ஆனால் ஒரு குழந்தை வந்து வேண்டினாலும் அதற்குத் தக்கவாறு அருள்புரியும் ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளின் காருண்யம், சுப்ரமணியசுவாமியின் இந்த அசட்டுத்தனமான கோரிக்கைக்கும் வழிசொல்லாமலில்லை!

“நீ டில்லிக்குப் போய் சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்டில் உன்னைக் கைது செய்ததை எதிர்த்து மனு தாக்கல் செய்யலாமே! நீ கச்சத்தீவு போவதற்கு தமிழ்நாடு அரசு ஏற்பாடு செய்து தர வேண்டுமென்றும் நீ அதில் அப்பீல் பண்ணு!”

வழிமுறையாக இல்லாத ஒன்றை இப்படி ஸ்ரீபெரியவா சொல்கிறாரே என்று  சுப்ரமணியசுவாமிக்குத் தோன்றியிருக்கக்கூடும். முதலில் இப்படி ஒரு கோரிக்கையை மதுரை மாஜிஸ்டிரேட் கோர்ட், அடுத்தது செஷன்ஸ் சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றம் என கடைசியாகத்தான் சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்டை அணுகமுடியும். அப்படியிருக்க எங்கோ மதுரையில் நடந்த சம்பவத்தின் கோரிக்கை மனுவை சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்டில் தாக்கல் செய்தால் எல்லோரும் சிரித்து பழிக்கமாட்டார்களா?

ஆனாலும் சுப்ரமணியசுவாமி ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளிடம் கொண்டிருந்த நம்பிக்கையால் மகானின் வாக்கை நிறைவேற்ற முற்பட்டார்.

டில்லி சென்று இவர் மனைவி உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தின் வக்கீலாக இருந்ததால் அவரிடம் மனுதாக்கல் செய்யச் சொன்னார். ஆனால் அவர் மனைவியோ உங்கள் மனுவை நான் தாக்கல் செய்தால் என்னைக் கை கொட்டி சிரிப்பார்கள் என மறுத்துவிட்டார். பிறகு இவரே மனு தாக்கல் செய்தார்.

உச்சநீதிமன்றத்தில் இவரை எல்லோரும் பைத்தியக்காரனாக பார்த்தார்கள். சட்டத்தின் அடிப்படை கூட தெரியாத இவரை உச்சநீதி மன்றம் கடுமையாக எச்சரிக்கப்போகிறது என்று நினைத்தார். உண்மையில் இவர்கூட இப்படித்தான் நினைத்து இதை உச்சநீதிமன்றம் தள்ளுபடி செய்து விடும் என்றிருந்தபோது தலைமை நீதிபதி “மனுதாரரை தமிழ்நாடு அரசு ஏன் கைது செய்தது?” என்று வழக்கை எடுத்துக் கொண்டது பேரதிசயம். தமிழ்நாடு அரசின் வக்கீலாக இருந்த குல்தீப்சிங்கும் நீதிபதியின் செயலால் தடுமாறிப்போனார்.

“வன்முறையார்களிடமிருந்து தக்க பாதுக்கப்புடன் மனுதாரர் கச்சத்தீவு செல்ல தமிழக அரசு வழி செய்ய வேண்டும்” என்று எதிர்பாராத தீர்ப்பு கிட்டியது.

சக வழக்கறிஞர்கள் “நீதிபதி உனக்கு உறவா” என்பதாக இவரிடம் வியந்துக் கேட்டனர். இதன்படி விமானப்படை, கப்பற்படை பாதுகாப்போடு 8-5-1988இல் இவர் கச்சத்தீவிற்கு போய் வந்தார்.

சட்டத்தை மீறாத இந்த பேரருள் எதை வேண்டுமானாலும் சாதிக்கும் என்று சுப்ரமணியசுவாமி ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளின் பேரருளை வியக்கிறார்.

ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் “மீளா அடிமையான” அற்புத நாயன்மார் (தொடர்ச்சி)

ஓரிக்கை கோயில் நிலத்தை பிரம்மஸ்ரீ பிரதோஷம் மாமா வாங்க முயற்சித்தபோது மிக தாபத்தோடு ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் அனுக்ரஹத்தை வேண்டுவதுண்டு. அப்போது சென்னையிலிருந்து ஒரு வயதான தம்பதியர் ரூ. 50,000த்தை கோயிலுக்காகக் கொண்டு சேர்த்தனர். முன்பின் அறியாத இவர்கள் மூலம் இந்த பெருந்தொகை வந்து சேர்ந்ததென்பது ஸ்ரீபெரியவா தன் பிரார்த்தனைக்கு செவி சாய்த்து அருளியதே என்று மாமா உணர்ந்தார். இப்படி பல அன்பர்கள் நிலம் வாங்க பொருள் சேர்த்தனர். நிலத்தை ரிஜிஸ்டர் செய்ய பணமில்லாமல் பல முயற்சிகள் செய்தும் பலனில்லாமல் போனது. பிரம்மஸ்ரீ மாமா தன் ரிடையர்மெண்டில் வந்த பெருந்தொகையை இதற்காக அர்ப்பணித்தார். நிலமும் ரிஜிஸ்டர் செய்யப்பட்டது. சுமார் 61/2 ஏக்கர் நிலம் வாங்கப்பட்டுவிட்டது.

அச்சமயத்தில் ஸ்ரீமஹாலட்சுமி மாத்ருபூதேஸ்வரர் டிரஸ்டில் மாமாவின் பிரசித்திபெற்ற உறவினர்களைத் தவிர சில அன்பர்கள் மட்டுமே இருந்தனர். எந்த பெரிய மனிதர்களின் உதவியுமில்லாமல் மாமாவின் தபஸ்ஸையே மூலதனமாக்கி ஒரிக்கை நிலத்தை வாங்க ஸ்ரீபெரியவாளின் அருள் வழி செய்தது. இந்தத் தபஸின் அங்கீகாரம்போல நிலத்தை வாங்கின சில நாட்களிலேயே பாலாற்றில் 15 வருடங்களுக்கு பின் மாபெரும் வெள்ளம் புரண்டோடிய அதிசயம் நிகழ்ந்தது. நிலத்தில் பாலாற்று நீர் பெருகி புனிதமாக்கியது. அருகிலிருந்த பாலம்  வெள்ளத்தினால் அடித்துச் சென்றது. இன்றும் புதிய பாலத்தின் அருகில் அந்த இழந்த பாலத்தை காணலாம்.

இப்படி ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ மஹாபெரியவாளின் பேரருள், ஓரிக்கை பெருங்கோயிலுக்காக 1992ம் வருடத்திலேயே துவங்கிவிட்டது.

ஒரு துளி தெய்வாம்ருதம்

பாபத்துக்கு மூலம் கெட்ட காரியம். கெட்ட காரியத்துக்கு மூலம் ஆசை. ஆகையால் நம் கஷ்டம் அனத்துக்கும் மூலகாரணமாகிய ஆசையை நிவர்த்தி பண்ணினால்தான் நிரந்தரமான துக்க நிவர்த்தி உண்டாகும்.

Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyavaal Mahimai (21-4-2011)

“The God who guides”

Shri Mahaperiyava, due to His kindness, to bless all the people, like a Sugabrahma Rishi Saint, took avatar as Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava, walked this earth and blessed us.

For all the devotees who come to Him with any problem, He resolves them in such a manner that, it looks as if the problem was resolved by itself.

This is how Shri Srirangam S.V. Radhakrishna Shastry explains his experience in the book “Mahaperiyavaal’s Darisana Anubavangal”.

His father Simizhi Brahmashree Venkatarama Shastrigal was treated with regards by Srimatam. During his younger years, his father had passed away. As per the instructions of two Sanniyasis, Shri Radhakrishnan was blessed to do Devi Upasana. He had been performing Devi Upasana for many years.

He felt that, when performing Devi Upasana, his body and words were involved completely, but not his mind. As days passed, he started to feel this more often and strongly. Since, he was unable to find a resolution for this, he decided to have darshan of Periyava and request His guidance and blessings.

Periyava was camping at Karvet Nagar. He was sitting outside a hut, closer to the pond. Even though it is not a practice to say “Abhivadanam” after prostrating, Periyava usually prefers the devotee to tell their ancestors name, before introducing themselves. So Shri Radhakrishnan introduced himself as the son of Simizhi Shastrigal.

Then he told about the doubt in his mind and requested Periyava to guide him in that matter. Shri Radhakrishnan indicates that the conversation with Periyava that followed was the something he did not expect and also that it remains in his memory as a fresh/recent incident.

“What are you saying?” Periyava asked.

“Even though my body and words are involved, I feel my mind is not involved completely”, replied Shastrigal.

“So what?” Periyava asked surprised.

“I feel the Pooja is not complete, since my mind acts as a separate entity”, Shastrigal replied hesitantly.

“What should I do for that?” Periyava asked again.

“Please help me, so that my mind does not wander off”.

“What have you studied until now”, Periyava asked the Shastrigal.

Shastrigal told about everything that he has studied.

“Even though you have studied all these, you do not have the spiritual faculty and good judgement”, Periyava replied. Shastrigal did not expect such a response from Periyava and was shocked for a moment.

“I am unable to correct myself and that is the reason I am seeking Periyava’s help”, Shastrigal continued, determined not to leave without an answer from Periyava.

“What do you want me to do?” Periyava asked again.

“Guide me towards mental peace”.

“What Pooja do you perform?” Periyava asked.

“I pray to Ambal in the form of statue, yantra and in a picture”.

Periyava asked, “So when you pray, do you believe that Ambal is present in the picture or statue”.

Shastrigal replied, “Yes, I believe Ambal is present, when I pray”.

“Then why don’t you ask about your problem to Ambal itself”, Periyava replied. Shastrigal did not know how to respond to this.

Periyava continued in a strict tone, “You say that you believe that Ambal is in all the prayers that you do, but still you think there is something not correct. Why don’t you tell your problems to Ambal who is with you all the time? Why did you travel so much and come and see me, instead of asking Ambal?”

Shastrigal was shocked when Periyava told in a strict tone. He was not expecting a reply like this from Periyava. His eyes were moist and he prostrated to Periyava and requested to take leave.

“Did I speak to you very harshly? You do Devi Upasana with a lot of dedication. That means, Ambal is always with you. You can tell her all your problems. You should not tell your problems to anyone other than Ambal. That is the reason I had to tell it to you in a hard tone. You always have Ambal’s blessing”. With this note, Periyava blessed Shastrigal.

Is it not the words of the divine? After that incident, Shastrigal felt the presence of Ambal and performed the Devi Upasana with all his mind, body and words. Periyava who actually said that, He will not be able to guide, actually guided Shastrigal. From that day, even though Radhakrishnan Shastrigal told his problems only to Ambal, it is known to everyone that it is only Periyava who is guiding the Shastrigal through Ambal.

Supreme Power

Dr. Subramanian Swamy narrates a strange incident. During 1987, he was planning to travel to Katchatheevu to fight for the rights of Indian fisherman. The local police who came to know about this, detained him and said he will be released only if he agrees to go back to Chennai. Reluctantly, he agreed and travelled back to Chennai. He felt that he had lost the battle.

For some peace of mind, he thought, he will go to Kanchipuram for Periyava’s darshan. On reaching Kanchipuram, he told about what happened to Periyava.

On hearing that, Periyava just smiled. Even if someone comes with a request that is silly or immature, Periyava never fails to guide or bless them.

“Why don’t you go to Delhi and appeal against Tamilnadu government in Supreme Court?” Periyava told Dr. Subramanian Swamy.

He might have thought that this might be against all the protocols. Ideally, this should be filed at Madurai court, then appealed to Madras High Court and then only could be appealed to Supreme Court. How will everyone react, if he directly went to Supreme Court for this?

But due to his trust and belief in Periyava, Subramanian Swamy decided to approach the Supreme Court. He went to Delhi and asked his wife, who was a Supreme Court lawyer to file the petition. Since the petition will be laughed at, she refused to work on it. Subramanian Swamy decided to work on the petition all by himself.

After filing the petition, he was thinking that it will be laughed at by everyone and the court will reject it and will issue a warning for filing such a petition. But to everyone’s surprise, the judge questioned that why the plaintiff was arrested by the Tamilnadu Government. Even Kuldeep Singh, the Tamilnadu Government lawyer at the Supreme Court was surprised.

Also the judge ruled that the Plaintiff should be allowed to go to Katchatheevu with security being provided by Tamilnadu Government. The other lawyers at Supreme Court were asking Dr. Subramanian Swamy, if the judge was a relative to him. On 8-5-1988, he travelled to Katchatheevu with protection from Air Force and Navy.

Brahmashree Pradosham Mama had prayed to Periyava for many days to complete the purchase of land at Orikkai for the Mani Mandapam. When an unknown couple from Chennai gave Rs. 50,000, Mama realized that it was all Periyava’s blessings. Similarly, there were lot of other devotees, who had donated for this cause. Even after all the donation, they were unable to register the land. So Pradosham Mama gave a major portion of his retirement money for this cause. Around 6 ½ acres of land was registered.

During those times, the Shree Lakshmi Mathrubootheshwarar trust was primarily comprised of Pradosham Mama and his relatives. Without any famous personalities, all the donation that came were all due to penance and devotion of Pradosham Mama. Within a few days after registering the land, there was flooding in Palar River after 15 years. The land was purified with the waters of the river. The Palar Bridge was damaged during that flood. Even now, one can see the old broken bridge near the new Palar Bridge.

In this way, Periyava’s blessings for the Orikkai temple had started in 1992.

The basis for sin is a bad deed/act. The basis for a bad deed is desire. So we need to redress our desire to permanently get rid of our grief.
