கெமிக்கல் என்றதால் மனசில் தோன்றிய ஒன்றை சொல்கிறேன். இந்த நாளில் இயற்கையான வஸ்துக்களுக்கு பதிலாக அதே பலனை தருகிற பொருள்களை ‘கெமிஸ்டரி’ மூலம் ‘ஸின்தெடிக்’காகப் பண்ணுகிறார்கள். இது மாதிரி இப்போது சாஸ்திர கர்மாக்களில் பிரயோஜனப்படுகிற திரவியங்களின் பலனைத் தருகிற கெமிகல்களையும் பண்ணலாம். அதனால் அந்த கெமிக்கலை கர்மாவில் பிரயோஜனம் பண்ணி விடக்கூடாது. ஏனென்றால் இரண்டும் ஒரே பலனைத் தருவதுதான் என்று இவர்கள் சொல்லும்போது த்ருஷ்ட பலனைத்தான் சொல்கிறார்கள். அதை விட முக்கியமான அத்ருஷ்ட பலன் சாஸ்திரத்தில் சொல்லியிருக்கிற திரவியத்துக்குத்தான் உண்டே தவிர, த்ருஷ்டமாக அதே பலனுள்ள மற்ற எதற்கும் கிடையாது. – ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீ சந்திரசேகரேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருள் மொழிகள்

I spoke about chemical. I will tell you something that occurs to me. Nowadays, synthetic products, which possess the same properties as natural ones, are manufactured with the help of chemicals. Similarly, the ingredients which are utilised in the performance of scriptural rituals or ‘Sastric Karmas’ may be produced artificially. But this chemical should not be utilized in the performance of the Sastric Karma. The reason is when people talk of this chemical substitute giving the same benefit as the natural one, they are talking of the perceptible benefits.
