When I saw our President coming to our Matam and getting aseervatham from both our Periyavas, the following lines came to my mind from Mahaperiyava’s experience (narrated by Sri Pattabi).
‘அவா நம்ம மடத்துமேல மரியாதை வெச்சிருக்கிறது பெரிசில்லே; அந்த மரியாதையை நாம காப்பாத்திக்கணும். அதான் பெரிசு’ன்னு அடிக்கடி சொல்வார் பெரியவா!”
How true these lines are! Only because of our lineage, our acharyas’ thapas, we continue to see devotion from all over the world.

Two things really hurts me deeply. Why Bala Periva should wait for President at Temple? Let President wait for Him. The brainless security adjacent to President does not have even common sense to keep himself away from Sanyasis from touching. Bala Periva off late realized this and moved aside.
If President cannot come inside the temple without guns, let him not come, who cares! Let security people keep the temple in their control in advance, but guns and swords must be prevented inside the temple.
1. There should be a place beyond which Gun or any Security specific material should not be allowed.It can be allowed to a specific Limited distance. This can be adjusted keeping in mind the security of the First citizen.
2. I found lot of crowd around President which were not required at all, Temple Trust should not allow Too much Media crowd to get inside other than their own crew or Govt sponsored crew. Also, it is a such nice temple and they have to spend nice time.
3. I presume President also may not have enjoyed these kind of crowd or the attention, He would have preferred to spend peaceful time in the Temple and periava in spite of cancelling it earlier.
4. I request Temple committee to look in the gaps in the arrangement and next time they need to avoid these kind of Inconvenience to Bala Periva.
