மாம்பலத்திலிருந்த ஜெயராமய்யர் மாம்பலம் சங்கரமடத்தைப் பெரியவாளுக்கே அர்ப்பணம் பண்ணிய உத்தமர். அவர் குடும்பத்தாருடன் ஒரு முறை ஆந்திரா சென்றார்.அங்கு ஒரு தோட்டத்தில் பெரியவா உட்கார்ந்து தரிசனம் கொடுத்துக்கொண்டு இருந்தார்.
ஜெயராமய்யர் பேரன் பெரியவாளிடம் சென்றான். அவன் கையில் ஒரு கல்கண்டைக் கொடுத்தார்.
வாங்கிக் கொண்ட குழந்தை குதித்துக் கொண்டே தோட்டத்துக்குள் நுழைந்தது. அதன் பின் காணவே இல்லை. அங்கே ஒரு பெரிய கிணறும் இருந்ததால்,குழந்தையின் பெற்றோரும் மற்றவர்களும்
பதறியடித்துக் கொண்டு ஓடி,ஒடித் தேடினார்கள். குழந்தை அந்த கிணற்றில் விழுந்துவிட்டது என்று தெரிந்தது.அதில் படிக்கட்டுகள் இருந்தன. நல்லவேளையாக ஒரு படிக்கட்டைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு குழந்தை தொங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தது. ஒருவர் மளமளவென்று இறங்கிக் குழந்தையைக் காப்பாற்றி
விட்டார். ஜெயராமய்யர் குடும்பம் உடனே குழந்தையுடன் பெரியவாளிடம் சென்று,அழுதுகொண்டே நடந்ததைச் சொல்லி, பெரியவாதான் இந்தக் குழந்தையைக் காப்பாற்றினார் என்று மீண்டும்,மீண்டும் வணங்கினார்கள்.
உடனே பெரியவா,” இந்தக் குழந்தையின் கையில் என்ன இருக்கிறது பாருங்கள்” என்று சொன்னார். பார்த்தால் அவர் கொடுத்த கல்கண்டு அப்படியே இருந்தது.
“அம்பாள் பிரசாதம் அது;அவள்தான் காப்பாற்றினாள்!”என்றார்
அவர் கொடுக்கும் பிரசாதமே நம்மைக் காக்கவல்லது என்பதை இந்நிகழ்வு காட்டுகிறது.

A small incident
Mambalam Jayaram Iyer was a man who had submitted the Mambalam Shankara Matham to Periyava. He had gone to Andhra along with his family members. There, Periyava was sitting in a garden and giving Darshan
Jayaram Iyer’s grandson went towards Periyava. Periyava gave a sugar candy to the child. Having received this, the child ran towards the garden, jumping happily. And he wasn’t to be seen after that. Since there was an open well in the garden, his parents and other relatives panicked and ran around searching for the child. Soon it was discovered that the child had indeed fallen into the well. The well had steps leading into the water. Fortunately, the child was seen hanging onto one of the steps. One person from the group quickly climbed down the steps and rescued the child. Jayaram Iyer and his family rushed to Periyava, related what had happened, prostrated in front of Him again and again saying He only had saved the child.
Periyava said, “Look at what is there in the child’s hand”. They saw that the sugar candy piece was still there.
“That’s AmbaL’s Prasadam. She only has saved the child”, He said.
The Prasadam that He gives has the power to save us – this incident proves it.
