Thanks to Sri Kumar, Vignesh Studio and Sri Vasant Raj for photos and videos. It is lovely to see three periyavas in Kanchi. To the best of my understanding, this Periyava also got sanyasa at the same time HH Balaperiyava. In fact, I posted one article related to an incident with Mahaperiyava. I am unable to find that posting. However I found this post that has some precious and rare photos.

If my memory is correct, when Bala Periyava was young Sakatapuram Periyava who was his age had come to SriMatam. Mahaperiyava had asked both of them to converse with each other and had gone out of the room for some time. When Mahaperiyava came back and enquired about what conversation was going on, Balaperiyava had expressed their inability to converse freely as he did not know Kannada and the Sakatapuram Swami did not know Tamizh. Periyava had said that both could have conversed in Samaskrutam. Is this the incident you were referring to.
