The Tamil Nadu Government is unnecessarily interfering in religious matters. I sign in on the idea of signing a petition to India’s Prime Minister and let him know the current situation. We are fortunate to have more religious freedom in USA.
The news is available through times of India. I at least couldn’t find any other report by any other newspaper.
The news uses vague words such as “trust”, sources close to temple authority” and “administration”.
Most importantly, the official Kamakshi temple website still lists only as Feb 1 as the date.
Let us not head over heels to some news that we do not know the authenticity of. By giving importance to unreliable/unofficial news we may set up a platform for some unpleasant news which would not occur in the first place if we remain silent.
There should be no need for any petition through Swami or Modi at this point.
We can’t expect the govt. To respect temples, and our feelings. They must our Acharya’s decision and keep their business with polical affairs. I feel that kanchi madam or their followers should not listen to govt. In this. Matter.please be strong else they’ll interfere in every affair.
Am repeatedly saying, dismantle HR & CE Dept. and repel the Act. The Dept.is destroying Temples. It is filled with people who have no knowledge of Hinduism.

Mahesh- I think we should start a petition and submit to Modi Ji. Government has not jurisdiction in the matam.
