“விசித்தர வேண்டுகோள்”

(பக்தனின் வேண்டுகோளை ஏற்று விமானம் மூலம் பிரசாதம் அனுப்பிய பெரியவா)

சொன்னவர்-ஸ்ரீமடம் பாலு
தொகுதவர்-ஸ்ரீ கோதண்டராம சர்மா
தட்டச்சு-ஸ்ரீ வரகூரான் நாராயணன்.

சாத்தனூர் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி அய்யர் என்பவர் ஏராளமான நிலபுலன்களுடைய பக்தர்.
கிட்டத்தட்ட ஐம்பது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்,முதன் முதலாகப் பெரியவா தரிசனத்துக்கு வந்தார்.என்ன தோன்றிற்றோ,அவருக்கு ? பெரியவாளிடம் ஒரு விசித்தரமான வேண்டுகோளை விண்ணப்பித்துக் கொண்டார்.

“நான் கடைசி மூச்சு விட்டதும், பெரியவாள் ‘கங்கா ஜலமும்,துளசிதளமும்’ பிரசாதமாக கொடுத்தனுப்பி அந்தச் சரீரத்தையும்,ஆத்மாவையும் சுத்தப்படுத்தி,நல்ல கதி கிடைக்க அனுக்ரஹம் செய்யணும்…”

இந்தப் பிரார்த்தனையைப் பெரியவாளைத் தவிர வேறு யாரும் கேட்கவில்லை.சாத்தனூர் அய்யர்வாளும் மற்றவர்களிடம் சொன்னதில்லை.

மஹாராஷ்டிர மாநிலம் சதாராவில் ஸ்ரீ மடம் முகாம் செய்திருந்தபோது, தொலை பேசியில் செய்தி வந்தது.சாத்தனூர் கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி அய்யர் சற்றுமுன் சிவலோகப் பிராப்தி அடைந்தார்.

உரிய சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் பெரியவாளிடம் இந்தச் செய்தி தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

பெரியவா ஒரு நிமிஷம் மௌனமாக இருந்தார்கள். பின், தன் அணுக்கத் தொண்டரிடம் கங்கை ஜலமும் துளசியும் கொடுத்து ஆகாய விமானம் மூலம் அவரை சாத்தனூருக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தார்கள்.

அய்யர்வாளின் கடைசிப் பயணத்துக்கு முன்னர் சிஷ்யர் அவர் வீட்டுக்குச் சென்று,பெரியவா கொடுத்தனுப்பிய கடைசிப் பிரசாதங்களை சரீரத்துக்குப் போட்டார்.

ஒரு பக்தரின் வேண்டுகோள் ஐம்பது ஆண்டுகாலமானாலும் மறக்காமல் இருக்குமா என்ன? அதற்குச் சாட்சியம் இல்லாத போதும்,வெகு தூரத்தில் இருக்கும் போதும், எப்படியாவது நிறைவேற்றத் தான் வேண்டுமா என்ன?

அதனால் தான் பெரியவா! நிறைவேற்றினார்களே!

Sathanoor Krishnamoorthy Aiyar was a devotee and owner of numerous land and real estates. He came for Periyavaa darisanam almost fifty years back. What made him do it, we do not know,but he put forth a strange request to Periyavaa.

“Once I breathe my last, Periyavaa must favour me by sending Ganga Jalam and Tulasi leaves as prasadam to cleanse the body and soul and get me liberated”.

No one else except Periyavaa heard this starnge request and neither Sathanoor Krishnamoorthy Aiyar mentioned about it to anyone.

Later when Sri Madam was camping in Satara in Maharashtra a message was received over phone that Sathanoor Krishnamoorthy Aiyar has attained the heavenly abode.

Periayavaa was informed about it at the appropriate moment. He was silent for a minute. Then he gave Ganga Jalam and Tulasi leaves to his shishya and sent him to Sattanoor by flight.

The disciple went to Aiyar’s house and put the prasadams on the mortal remains before he embarked on his final journey.

How is it possible to remember the request of a devotee after fifty years? Even though there was no witness, even though Periyavaa was in a place so far away, his request was honored and fulfilled by Periayvaa.

That is the grace of Periyavaa!
