“ஸ்ரீ ஹரி…ஸ்ரீ ஹரி..ஸ்ரீ ஹரி”

(ஸ்ருஷ்டி – ஸ்திதி – ஸம்ஹாரம்  என்ற மூன்று தொழில்களில், ஸ்திதி (பரிபாலனம்) செய்பவர் விஷ்ணு. காலையில் எழுந்தது முதல், இரவு படுக்கும் வரை பலப்பல காரியங்களை செய்கிறோம். அதற்கு விஷ்ணு நம்முடன் கூட இருந்து எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் சாதகமாகவும் நல்ல விதமாகவும் நடந்தேற ஹரியைப் பிரார்த்திக்க வேண்டும்).

ஸ்ரீ மகாப் பெரியவாள் தினமும் அதிகாலையில் படுக்கையிலிருந்து எழுந்திருக்கும் போது,’ஸ்ரீ ஹரி ஸ்ரீ ஹரி’ என்று உச்சரித்துக்கொண்டே எழுந்திருப்பார்கள்.

கல்லூரி மாணவன் ஒருவன் இதைப் பார்த்தான். பெரியவாள் நெற்றியில் விபூதி,கழுத்தில் ருத்ராக்ஷ  மாலை என்று சிவச்சின்னங்கள்.ஆனால் உச்சரிப்பதோ ஸ்ரீ ஹரி…! என்ன,இது?

“இப்படியெல்லாம் பெரியவாளை கேட்கக் கூடாது” என்று அதட்டினார், பக்கத்தில் இருந்த ஒரு வைதிகர்.

மகாப் பெரியவாள்,சிரித்துக் கொண்டே சொன்னார். “அந்தப் பையனை அநாவசியமா கோவிச்சுக்காதே. அவன்  சந்தேகத்தைக் கேட்கட்டும், நான் பதில் சொல்கிறேன்”

பையன் மறுபடியும் கேட்டான். ஸ்ரீ மகாப் பெரியவர்கள் சொன்னார்கள்.

“ஸ்ருஷ்டி – ஸ்திதி – ஸம்ஹாரம்  என்ற மூன்று தொழில்களில், ஸ்திதி (பரிபாலனம்) செய்பவர் விஷ்ணு. காலையில் எழுந்தது முதல், இரவு படுக்கும் வரை பலப்பல காரியங்களை செய்கிறோம். அதற்கு விஷ்ணு நம்முடன் கூட இருந்து எல்லாக் காரியங்களும் சாதகமாகவும் நல்ல விதமாகவும் நடந்தேற ஹரியைப் பிரார்த்திக்க வேண்டும்.

“பகவான் கிருஷ்ணனை இடையன் என்பார்கள். இடையன் என்றால் இடைத் தொழில் (ஸ்திதி) செய்பவன். சாயங்காலத்தில், ஸம்ஹாரத் தொழில் செய்யும் பரமேசுவரனையும் பிரார்த்திப்பது வழக்கம்” என்றார். பையனுக்கு மிகவும் திருப்தி உண்டாயிற்று.

Sri Hari…SriHari…Sri Hari..

(Srushti (creation), Sthiti (Sustenance), and Samhara (Destruction) are the three aspects of ever changing universe. If Brahma is the creator, Vishnu is the one who sustains the life while Shiva destroys the old ones so that new ones can be created. This is the concept of TRINITY. From day break till we go to bed, we are engaged in various tasks. Lord Vishnu is the one who is always with us and help. To carry out our work properly. Therefore it is a must that we worship Lord Vishnu.)

Sri Mahaperiyavaa, while getting up in the morning, used to Balu chant Sri Hari. Sri Hari….Once a college student noticed this. Periyavaa had sacred ash on his forehead and he wore a chain of Rudraksha. ‘These are signs of Shiva and he is chanting” Sri Hari” What an irony!’ he exclaimed.  “Shall I ask the reason?”

“Stop it. We should not ask  him such things”. Reprimanded a scholar who was sitting beside. Mahaperiyavaa noticed this. With a smile, he said, ”Let him ask what he wants. Why do you stop him?”  The boy repeated his question. Mahaperiyavaa explained.:

“Among the three tasks– .creation, sustenance and destruction, Lord Vishnu takes the task of sustenance i.e like a caretaker he looks after the welfare of all that is created. From the time we get up in the morning till we go to sleep, whatever we do will yield fruit only with the grace of Lord Vishnu.. To accomplish all our tasks without any hurdle, we need to pray to Lord Vishnu.

Lord Krishna is popularly called Govinda which means cowherd.  A cowherd starts his work in the morning and goes on till dusk. Like a cowherd, Lord Vishnu takes care of us from day break to sunset. That is why we chant ‘Sri Hari..Sri Hari..’ during the day.

If day break symbolizes creation, night symbolizes the period of destruction of the old things so that new things can be created. We pray to Lord Siva after dusk as he is the lord of destruction. The period from sun set to day break is devoted to Lord Siva”

The student was happy as he was satisfied.
