கருமேகம் சூழ்ந்து காணப்படும் இன்றைய சூழ்நிலையில் இன்றைய இளம் தலைமுறையைச் சேர்ந்த பெற்றோர்கள் சிலர், எந்தச் சலனமும் இன்றி, தங்களது அன்புக் குழந்தைகள் வேதம் பயின்று நமது தர்மத்தில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளபடி கர்மங்களைக் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்துடன் அவர்களை வேதபாடசாலைக்கு அனுப்பி உள்ளது உற்சாகத்தை அளிக்கிறது.
ஆம். தங்களது குழந்தைகள் பள்ளி, கல்லூரி படிப்புக்களை படித்து வாழ்க்கையில் நிறைய சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணத்தை ஒதுக்கி வைத்து விட்டு அவர்களை சிறு வயதிலேயே வேத பாடசாலைக்கு அனுப்பும் இளம் தம்பதிகள் சிலர் இருக்கத்தான் செய்கிறார்கள்.
இந்த இளம் தந்தையர்கள் மற்றும் தாய்மார்கள் நமது வைதீகப் பாதையில் இருந்து நாம் முற்றிலும் விலகிச் சென்று விடக் கூடாது என்பதை உணர்ந்திருக்கிறார்கள். நமது தர்மத்தின் மீதுள்ள தங்களது ஈடுபாட்டை காட்டும் வகையில் அவர்கள் நேர்மறையான மற்றும் தைரியமான முடிவினை எடுத்துள்ளனர்.
’ஐ-பேட்’, ’4ஜி’, ’மேல்நாட்டில் படிப்பு/உத்யோகம்’ என எப்போதும் சிந்தித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் இன்றைய காலகட்டத்தில், சிலர் தங்களது பிள்ளைகள் வேதம் கற்க வேண்டும் என்று சங்கல்பம் செய்துக்கொண்டு வேத பாடசாலைகளில் சேர்த்துள்ளது மகத்தான விஷயமல்லவா !.
தங்களது குழந்தைகளை வேத பாடசாலைகளில் சேர்த்து வேத அத்யயனம் செய்ய வைக்கும் இந்த அற்புதமான பெற்றோர்கள் நமது பாராட்டுக்கு உறியவர்கள்.
அவர்களுக்கு நமது சமுதாயம் கடைப்பட்டுள்ளது என்றால் மிகையாகாது. அவர்கள் வேதத்திற்கு ஆற்றியுள்ள இந்த மகத்தான கார்யத்திற்கு எவ்வளவு பாராட்டினலும் அது மிகவும் சொல்பமாகத்தான் இருக்கும். இந்த உயர்வான செயலை அவர்கள் எந்த ஆடம்பரமும் இன்றி அமைதியாக மேற்கொண்டுளளனர். இந்தப் பெற்றோர் அனைவருக்கும் நமது அனந்தகோடி நமஸ்காரங்களைத் தெரிவிக்கிறோம்.

ஸ்வாமி கடாக்ஷத்தினால் நடக்கவிருக்கும் இந்த விழா வெற்றி பெற நீங்கள் கீழ்கண்டவ்கையில் உதவலாம்:

In the rush and tumble of today’s world where observance of rituals is more an exception than the rule, a wonderful truth that has emerged after some painstaking research is that some parents of this generation send their children to learn the Vedas and absorb the practice of our religion as it should be done.
Yes! There are young couples in their twenties and thirties who are very clear that their children should pursue education not merely for the purpose of livelihood, but join Veda Pathashala-s in their formative years and imbibe the rare and precious Vedic knowledge that has been handed down to us through many millennia.
These fathers and mothers have taken positive, courageous action to show that they care. They have convinced their children, who belong to the current I-pad, 4-G generation, to learn our great scriptures. And they have done this tremendous job quietly, with no fanfare, no media coverage. None of us even know about this quiet revolution. This is clearly unacceptable: these men and women have to be in the limelight.
It is therefore my suggestion — and plan — that these wonderful parents should be showcased to the rest of our community through a proper, well-publicized function on March 13, 2016 at Chennai.
We are therefore launching a search for all such noble souls, to get them together at one pace on the appointed day and present them to the world. Their path-breaking action will be highlighted, their rationale explained to the agnostics, and their initiative assured of whatever support we can give.
The programme is going to be held under the banner of LOKA KSHEMA SEVA SAMITI
In this function it would only be in the fitness of things to present the couples with the right kind of offerings to show our appreciation. we expect around 200 couples.
A tentative list of things we will need for making this celebration truly grand is given below:
* Vastram for the couple ( 9×5 veshti, Madisar pudavai with blouse bit, Bag, etc) : 3 lakhs
* Bhojanam for the parents and invitees (around 750) : 2 lakhs
* Transport expenses for the parents : Rs. 75,000/-
* Sambhavanai: 2 lakhs
* Hall, printing materials and other misc expenses: 2.25 lakh
I am writing this to all of you, my good friends who have a sincere concern for the practice of our great dharma for two purposes:
(1) You have seen the list and the rough quantities of each item. An estimate of the cost of these items, plus the cost of holding the function, is around Rs 10 lakhs.
(2) I will also need volunteers from you for getting the project executed smoothly and admirably.

I am (Gnanaskandhan s/o Gowreesa sivacharyar) working as a teacher in aided high school, manganallur.
But for want of my son Sankarathmajasarma to learn krishna yajur vedha I admited my son at Palakad veda rakshana samithi padasal. There he studied for two years. Unfortunately we have to quit from the padasala. The adyapakar of that padasala Bhramasri Giridhar ganapatigal recommended to Bhramasri Anantha nayayana ganapadigal continue his studies. So he continue his studies at Kumbakonam and proposed to attend the final exam “poorthi pariksha” by May/June 2016. Our guru as well as make him for further studies of Padha Krama for the succeeding years. Then he proposed to him to study “Vyakarana Sasthra” and then continue to Jata and Gana pada. A PATH-BREAKING INITIATIVE- MARCH 13, 2016
“…These wonderful parents, who admitted their children in the Veda patasalas, deserve to be showcased to the rest of our community through a proper, well-publicized function as soon as possible. They have to be honored and commended publicly for what they are doing….”
In this dark cloud we see a heartening streak — of the uncompromising insistence of some parents of the present generation that they will send their children to learn the Vedas and absorb the practice of our religion as it should be done. Yes! There are young couples in their twenties and thirties who are refusing to get their children pursue education with the sole purpose of livelihood, and instead making them join Veda Pathashala-s in their formative years.
These fathers and mothers have realized how crucial it is that we do not break off completely from the spiritual path. And they have taken positive, courageous action to show that they care. They have convinced their children, who belong to the current I-pad, 4-G generation, to join Veda Pathashala-s and learn our great scriptures. And they have done this tremendous job quietly, with no fanfare, no media coverage.
These wonderful parents deserve to be showcased to the rest of our community through a proper, well-publicized function as soon as possible. They have to be honored and commended publicly for what they are doing.
Sunday, March 13 2016 is the function date to be held in Chennai to honour these wonderful parents. Our Anantakoti namskarams to all of them.

Periyava Charanam. Once again another great effort by Sri Sastrigal. I am sad to state that nowadays adhyayanam is undertaken by children whose families are unable to make them pursue secular education due to economic conditions of the family or the child is not so good in secular education. But even now there are few great souls who make their children do adhyayanam. This is indeed extraordinary in the present day context and require great courage because even the closest of relatives of such great souls deride and mock them. One of my close relative has made his son do adhyayanam despite resistance from his family. My namaskarams to such great souls. I am sure such parents and their children will have the bountiful blessings of our Mahaperiyava.
