Another beautiful sketch…The poem seems to be written to express the feelings of devotees like who have not seen Periyava!
புனித உன் உடலை நீ மறைக்கும் முன்னே
எனதூனக் கண்கள் உன்னுருவைக் கண்டிலவே !
அருளமுத வாக்குகள் நீ பொழிந்தபோது
இருளதனில் உறங்கின என்னிரு செவிகளும் !
பண்ணின பாவங்கள் பலவுண்டு
புண்ணியம் இருக்கும் ஒன்றிரண்டு
அண்ணலுன் உருவத்தை வரைப்பித்தாய் எனைக்கொண்டு—-கணபதி
அண்ணாவின் எழுத்தினைப் படிக்க வைத்தாய் மனம் கொண்டு.
பாவங்கள் கரைந்தனவோ
புண்ணியங்கள் பெருகினவோ
அறிந்திலேன் ஆனால் ஒன்று
பறந்தன பயமும் கோபமும்
பிறந்தன சாந்தமும் அன்பும்
உறைந்தது உன்னுருவம் என் மனத்துள்
உறுதி வந்தது உன் வழி செல்ல
அறுதியிட்டுச் சொல்வேன் காஞ்சிமா முனியே !

பிறந்தன சாந்தமும் அன்பும்
With the abundant grace of Shri Maha Periyava it ought to happen to everybody when we pray to HIM with love.
i am an unfortunate one.
Between 1986 and 1994 i have passed by kanchipuram many a times. my karmas, kept me away and i was not even aware of Mahaperiyava in those days.
i came to know about Him only a few years ago after listening to discourses by shri Ganesh sarma in a saptahika about Mahaperiyava in Sankara matam, west mambalam.
i lament my misfortune. many a times, tears well up as emotions choke me. But also happy that it was ‘better late than never’. but still miles to go. i feel this life has almost been a waste. still unable to get off the materialist world. the more i learn, i realize that, the farther i am.
Awaiting the grace of Mahaperiyava. it is beyond me in all aspects.
Saranam, Saranam, Saranam.

I was also like you only. I started this journey only in 1995. I was blind before that.
But, I recommend to you to read Ra.Ganapathy anna’s books which are available in Divya Vidhya Trust’s website for free download and also Dheyvathin Kural. I am sure it will compensate the loss and take you nearer to HIM. I am confidently saying this because it happened to me and is still happening.

This poem absolutely fits the situation of the most unfortunate persons like me who were unable to see him physically.
When I will get a mahabhagyam to just see him through naked eyes ( leaving aside the maha maha bhagyam of doing a bit kaingaryam to him)?
அரிதினும் அரிதாய் நமக்கு கிடைத்த குரு நம் அனைவர்க்கும் எளிதினும் எளிதாய் அருள் பாவித்த குரு நம் காஞ்சி மகாபெரியவா …………..

I am one of those whom you mentioned. I wrote it out of my own turmoil. I do not know when that ‘thaapam’ (heat) will be quenched. Hoping it would after completing 108 drawings/paintings of MahaPeriava.! Avarin thiruvadikalae charanam Saranam !
