During my India trip, I had an opportunity to talk to a printer Sri Narayanamurthy mama (Sri Akshaya Digital Works) regarding some printing needs. He narrated an incident from his personal life with Periyava.

About 30-40 years back, his father was worried about what mama would take as a career, how he would settle in life etc. He went to matam with the whole family to seek blessings from Periyava…As usual, there was a long line of devotees waiting to get His darshan. When these people turn came, mama’s father told Periyava that they seek His blessings for his son’s job etc.

Periyava thought reached out to a fruit basket and picked an orange…thought for a minute and said, “Don’t worry – he will give employment to 10 people” and gave orange and other prasadam and sent them.

Mama was confused and asked his father, “appa, it seems Periyava did not hear you properly. You asked for anugraham for job and he is saying something else”. By this time, they already moved on and there was not much chance for them to go back and clarify. They all decided to get back home.

Exactly an year and half after that incident mama ended up setting up his own printing press and his total staff strength at that point was 10+!!

When mama described this, he was telling that whatever he has been doing successfully for the past several years are only due to Periyava’s anugraham.

When mahans say something, it is sathyam and it will happen. Our limited intelligence can’t comprehend certain things.
