பால் ப்ரண்டன் அவர்களுக்கு ஏற்பட்ட அனுபவம் எனக்கும் ஏற்பட்டது!
நான் மத்ய அர்சு நிர்வாகத்திலுள்ள வானிலை மையத்தில் பொறுப்புள்ள பதவியில் இருந்தேன். 1993 ஆம் வருடம் வரை தீவிர கம்யூனிஸ்டாக கர்மா தத்துவத்தின் மேலும் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை மேலும் அளவு கடந்த வெறுப்புடன் இருந்து வந்தேன். ப்ராம்மண குலத்தில் பிறந்தும், நித்யானுஷ்டானங்களைச் செய்யாமல் கடவுள் நம்பிக்கை சிறிதும் இல்லாமல் சனாதன தர்மத்தின் மீது நம்பிக்கை இழந்து, எனது வீட்டில் நடக்கும் எந்த சமய வழிபாட்டிலும் கலந்து கொள்ளாமல், வெறுத்து வந்தேன்.
இப்படியிரக்கையில் 1993 ஆம் ஆண்டு என் நண்பர்கள் இருவருடன் காஞ்சிபுரம் செல்லும் சந்தர்ப்பம் கிட்டியது. அங்கு கோவில்கள் தவிர எதுவும் பார்க்க இல்லாததால் கோவில்களுக்கு அவர்களுடன் சென்று பிறகு ஸ்ரீமடம் செல்லும் படியாயிற்று. அவரின் சனாதன தர்மத்தில் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாத எனக்கு இப்படி ஓர் வாய்ப்பு!
அந்த வருடம் ஸ்வாமிகளின் நூற்றாண்டு விழா கொண்டாட்டங்கள் சிறப்பாக நடை பெற்று வந்ததாலும், அங்கு என்ன பணிகள் செய்கிறார்கள் என்பதை அறியவும் ஸ்ரீமடம் சென்றேன்.காலை பதினோரு மணியளவில் பக்தர்கள் நீண்ட வரிசையில் சென்று ஸ்வாமிகளை தரிசித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். நானும் அந்த வரிசையில் நின்று அவரைப் பார்க்கச் சென்றேன் அவரை அருகில் பார்க்க முடியாவிடினும் அவர் பார்வை படும் இடத்தில் இருந்து தரிசிக்க முடிந்தது. அவர் என்னை உற்றுப் பார்ப்பதுபோல் இருந்தது. ஒரு நிமிஷம் தான்! அதற்குப் பிறகு சென்னை திரும்பினோம். வரும் வழியெல்லாம் அவர் பார்வை என்னைத் தொடர்ந்து வந்தது! அவர் என்னைப் பார்த்து”திருவண்ணாமலை போ, ரமணாஸ்ரமம் செல் என்று சொல்வது போன்று ஓர் உணர்வு! தொடர்ந்து இரண்டு மூன்று நாட்களுக்கு எந்த வேலையும் செய்ய முடிய வில்லை எந்த வேலையைச் செய்தாலும் ” திருவண்ணாமலை செல்” என்று கட்டளையிடுவது போலவே இருந்தது.
அதன்பின் திருவண்ணாமலை வந்து ரமாணாஸ்ரமம் வந்து ரமண மஹரிஷி அதிஷ்டானம் தரிசனம் செய்தபின் தான் எனக்கு நிம்மதி பிறந்தது! என்ன அதிசயம்! நான் எந்த சனாதன தர்மத்தை வெறுத்து வந்தேனோ அவற்றின் மீது ஈடுபாடு கொண்டதுடன், மாதம் ஒரு முறை அண்ணாமலை சென்று கிரிவலம் வருவதுடன் ரமணாஸ்ரமத்தில் நடக்கும் அனைத்து நிகழ்ச்சிகளிலும் பங்கு கொள்கிறேன்.
என் இத்டகைய மாற்றத்திற்குக் காரணம் ஸ்வாமிகளின் அருட்பார்வை ஒன்றுதான்! நேரில் பேசியிருந்தால் கூட இத்தகைய மாற்றம் நிகழ்ந்திருக்காது. பெரியவர்கள் எது சொன்னாலும் எதிர்மறையாக செயல்படுவதே மனிதன் இயல்பு. பேசாமலே என்னை அருட் பார்வையால் மாற்றியது அதிசயம்!

I will start writing serious of Miracles down by Mahaperiaya after his samadhi.He still lives in my Relatives house. He gives darshan to my Relative. I will write few articles Soon on how a young man got cured of his Cancer.

Thiruvannamalai Po, Ramanashramam po
I went through a similar experience as did Paul Brunton.
I was a senior central government employee in the weather department. Till 1993, I held communist beliefs and I used to hate theism. Even though I was born a Brahmin, I did not follow any of the prescribed duties (NithyanushtanangaL) of Brahmins and I led a life not believing in God. Neither did I participate in any of the religious functions at home.
When life was going on like this, I got an opportunity to visit Kanchipuram with two of my friends. Other than the temples there, since I had not seen anything else, I was in a situation where I had to accompany them to the Shri Matam after visiting all the temples. Even though I did not believe in their Sanatana Dharma, I was given this kind of an opportunity !
Even though the 100th year celebrations of Swamigal were on in full swing, I went to the Shri Matam to check on what kind of activities were going on in the Shri Matam. Around 11 in the morning, there was a long line of devotees to take Swamigal’s Darshan. I also stood in that line to take His Darshan. Though I was not able to go very near, I had His Darshan from a place which was in His direct line of vision. I felt as if He was keenly observing me. It lasted for just a minute ! After that, we returned to Chennai. HIS gaze kept following me. I had a feeling as if He was ordering me, ‘Go to Thiruvannamalai, go to Ramanashramam’. For the next 2-3 days, I was not able to do any work. Whenever I attempted to work, I felt as if I was being ordered to go to
Thiruvannamalai.
After that I went to Thiruvannamalai and I had a Darshan of the Adhishtanam at Ramanashramam. I got peace of mind only then. What a wonder ! From a person who hated Sanatana Dharmam, I was transformed into a person who got deeply involved in it. Not only that, I started monthly visits to Thiruvannamalai for
doing Girivalam. I’m also participating in all the events at Ramanashramam.
The only thing that is responsible for this kind of transformation is Swamigal’s kind looks. Even if He had spoken to me, it might not have resulted in so much change. After all, it is man’s nature to go against the advice of elders. So it is a miracle that He changed me with just one look.

After hearing so many experiences of hundreds of devotees of Sri Mutt, I am sure that truly Sri Mahaperiyava was a manifestation of Lord Shiva.
It is definitely a great blessing on him.
I had a similar experience in getting dharshan of Paramacharyal in September 1993. I was on official camp at Chennai in Sep ’93 along with our statutory auditor, Th.Chandrasekaran. After completion of our camp Th.Chandrasekaran proposed for our return journey to our place (Virudhunagar) via Kanchipuram, with a plan to get certain personal work done at Deputy Registrar (Co-Op) at Kanchi, where he worked previously. Th.Chandrasekaran did have belief in worship of God or Sanyasi, but he is a person of all noble qualities including perfect honesty. As proposed we went to Kanchi from Chennai. I had no idea of visiting Kanchi Madam even after alighting from bus. The D.R. office was situated on the one bank of the “Kulam” and Kanchi Madam was on the direct opposite bank. I just entered the Shrine where our Paramacharyal was living as a powerful God. I had dharshan of our Bala Periyava while performing Charamouleeswara pooja then I had dharshan of our Periyava ” Jayendra saraswathi Swamigal”. While coming out after the dharshan of two Periyavas, somebody was telling to someone else that Mahaperiya would come for dharshan at about 11 a.m. On hearing that “asareer” I waited and had the great opportunity of getting dharshan of our living god Paracharyal Shri. Mahaperiyaval. There is no iota of exaggeration in this post. Definitely Mahaperiyava called me gave dharshan. When i was sharing this experience with my sister she wept and told that she did not have the oppurtunity to have dharshan of our Mahaperiyava. I whole heartedly record here that the words “Periyava”, “Mahaperiyava” and “Sarvagnani” would mean only our Paramacharyal of Kanchi and Sirungeri Peetams.
