என் சத்யத்தினை காப்பாற்றி தர்மத்தினை நிலை நாட்டச் செய்ததற்காக அவருக்கு நன்றி கூறினேன்!
மாத இதழ் ஒன்றில் ஸ்ரீஜயேந்திர ஸரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள்கருகலைப்பு செய்தல் பாவம் என்ற அறிவுரை ஒன்றைப் படித்தேன். உடனே நான், அவரை சாக்ஷியாக வைத்து, வாழ்வில் இத்தகைய செயலைச் செய்வதில்லை என
உறுதி எடுத்துக் கொண்டேன்.
எங்களுக்கு ஒரு வயது பெண் குழந்தை இருக்கும்போதே என் மனைவி மீண்டும் கருவுற்றாள். குறைந்த இடை வெளியில் குழந்தை வேண்டாம் எனக் கருதிய அவள் கருகலைப்பு செய்வதில் தீர்மானமாக இருந்தாள் நானும் என் அம்மாவும் எவ்வளவோ எடுத்துரைத்தும். குடும்பத்தில் அமைதி குறைந்தது. அவளின் வற்புறுத்தலால் மருத்துவரிடம் சென்றோம். அவர் ஒரு வருட இடைவெளியாதலால் செய்ய மறுத்து விட்டார். மற்ரொரு மருத்துவரிடம் போன் மூலம் தொடர்பு கொண்டதில் அழைத்து வருமாறு சொன்னார். நான் மட்டும் கனத்த இதயத்துடன் இது நடக்கக் கூடாது என்று மனதில் ப்ரார்த்தனை செய்தவாறே அறைக்குள் நுழைந்தேன்.
அறையில் மருத்துவர் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் இடத்திற்கு மேல் ஒரு மஹானின் படம்! மிக்க ஒளி வீசும் கண்களுடன்! அவர் என்னைப் பார்த்து ”என்ன உன் சங்கல்பம் இவ்வளவுதானா?” என்று என்னைக் கேட்கிறாற்போல் எனக்குத் தோன்றிற்று. அவரின் ஆசிர்வதிக்கும் கை இயற்கையால் நோய்வாய்ப் படுவோரை குணமடைய ஆசிர்வதிப்பது போலவும், கருகலைப்பு போன்ற செயல்களுக்காக வருவோரை அது போன்று செய்யவேண்டாம் என் தடுப்பது போலவும் எனக்குத் தோன்றிற்று. அந்தக் கையிலிருக்கும் நடுவிரல் ஆதி சங்கரர் கூறியது போல் ப்ரம்மம் என்ற மெய்ப் பொருள் ஒன்றே அதுவும் ஆன்மாவும் ஒன்றே என உணர்த்தி, ஆண்டவனால் படைக்கப்பட்ட ஆன்மாவை அழிப்பது முறையன்று; திரும்பிச் செல் என்று எனக்கு உணர்த்தியதுபோல் உணர்ந்தேன்.
நான் மீன்டும் என் மனைவியிடம்” திரும்பிச் சென்றுவிடலாம்” என்று கூறினேன். மனதிற்குள் ”இறைவன் தூணிலும் இருப்பான் துரும்பிலும் இருப்பான் என்பது உண்மையானால் நீரே மருத்துவரின் மனதில் இருந்து என்னைக் காப்பாற்றுங்கள்” எனப் ப்ரார்த்திதவாறே அந்தப் படத்தை நோக்கினேன்.
மருத்டுவரிடம் சில வார்த்தைகள் பேசினோம்; அவர் என்ன நினைத்தாரோ தெரியவில்லை செய்கிறேன் என உறுதி கூறியவர் தன்னால் முடியாது என்று மறுத்துவிட்டார்!
மீண்டும் அந்த ஃபோடோவைப் பார்க்கிறேன் . என் சத்யத்தினை நிலை நாட்டச் செய்ததற்காக நன்றி கூறினேன். அவர் யாருமல்ல! நம் காஞ்சி ஸ்வாமிகள் ஸ்ரீ சந்த்ரசேகரேந்த்ர ஸரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள் தாம்.
நாட்கள் நகர்ந்தன. பிறந்தது மறுபடி பெண்குழந்தை! நம் ஸ்வாமிகள் வணங்கிய காமாக்ஷி அன்னை! மஹாபெரியவாளின் அறிவுரையும் அவர் என்னைக் காபாற்றியதையும் என்னால் வாழ் நாளில் மறக்க முடியாத நிகழ்ச்சி.
இவ்வாறு ஐயன்பேட்டை திரு அனந்தராமன் அவர்கள் நெகிழ்ச்சியுடன் தரிசன அனுபவங்கள் 4ஆம் தொகுதியில் நம்முடன் பகிந்து கொள்கிறார்.

I am totally in support of Venkat Natarajan, it pains me beyond words to hear that a mother herself wishes to kill her child in womb. We all call Sri Kanchi Kamakshi as our mother in the only belief that as our physical mother never gave up on us even when we were at her womb and outside, so will a spiritual motherly divinity will save us. These kinds of abortions by women in the name of ‘can’t manage’ just shatters such beliefs.. I sincerely doubt if the pitrus will forgive them for destroying their hopes of coming to world since they are aborted even before seeing the world. These are the causes of pitru shaabam that the astrologers keep saying for our problems. Aapasthambha says that abortion is killing and amounts to brahmahatya and vedic brahmins should never even have food near them.. The govt. Which promoted abortions never has brought any change in our standard of living because of one child policy.. Still we keep paying huge cost for a single child, has the govt.changed anything to improve this? The answer is a big NO.. So why follow these unproven, dangerous and anti vedic activities??.. A woman who willingly aborts a child can never become mother in a thousand births..unless she repents her inhuman act and seek forgiveness from God and does a crore Rama nama Japan. Such an inhuman woman doesn’t need womanhood at all in God’s creation…
Sorry for such strong words, those who have unfortunately committed this sin please seek forgiveness at Mahaperiyavaa’s holy feet and do a crore Ramajapam. May God forgive you if possible..

Sri Maha Periyava charanam
I thank him for helping me keep my word and for making me adhere to dharma.
I read about the advice of Sri Jayendra Saraswathi swamigal in a monthly that abortion is a sin. Then and there I took a vow that I will never commit this sin in my life.
My wife conceived when our daughter was just an year old. She was firm on aborting the fetus as she did not want to have a second child within such a short interval. Myself and my mother advised her against aborting the fetus but the arguments did not auger well and peace in the family came down. Upon her insistence we went to a doctor, but he refused to help her because the interval was one year. When we contacted another doctor he advised us to come in person. I entered his chambers with a silent prayer in my mind that this should not happen.
In the chambers of the doctor, above his seat was the picture of a Mahan with radiant eyes. It appeared to me that the Mahan was asking me “what? is this all about your vow?” The hand of the Mahan lifted in blessing seemed to me to bless those who were ill to get well and to me it appeared that it was warning people against such heinous acts like abortion. The lifted middle finger seemed to suggest that the supreme Truth is Brahman who is one with the Atma and that no life given by God should be destroyed. It seemed to ask me to return. Once again I requested my wife to give up her determination and to get back home. I prayed to God that if it were true that God is everywhere He should help me by speaking for me from the mind of the doctor. Thus praying I looked up at the picture. We started talking to the doctor. I do not know what went through his mind. He who had earlier assured that he can do the abortion now refused to do so.
I looked at the picture again and thanked Him for making me keep my vow. He is none other than our Kanchi Mahaswami Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi swamigal.
Days rolled by. Once again we were blessed with a baby girl. I deem that Devi Kamakshi worshipped by our Mahaswami had come to me as a girl. I can never forget the timely advice of Maha Periyaval which saved me from breaking my vow.

It appears this devotee is invoking Sri Mahaperiyavaa for even matters where he should control his weaknesses or desist from doing wrong things in life.
Let him not make Sri Mahaperiyavaa as a support for his mistakes.
Sri Mahaperiyavaa stood for values more respectable and worthy.
