“திருப்புகழ் மணி” என்று எல்லோராலும் அன்போடு அழைக்கப்பட்ட க்ருஷ்ணஸ்வாமி ஐயர், பெரியவாளின் அத்யந்த பக்தர். மைலாப்பூரில் இருந்தார். பெரியவாளிடம் அபரிமிதமான பக்தி உள்ள குடும்பம். திருப்புகழ் பாடல்களை ப்ரபலமாக்கியவர்களில் க்ருஷ்ணஸ்வாமி ஐயரை குறிப்பிட்டு சொல்லலாம். அவருடைய மனைவிக்கு காசநோய் (TB) கடுமையாகிவிட்டது. ஆந்த்ராவில் மதனபள்ளி ஹாஸ்பிடலில் தங்கி சிகிச்சை பெற்று வந்தார்.
பெரியவா கால்நடையாக காஸி யாத்ரை புறப்பட்டு, மதனபள்ளியில் தங்கி இருந்தார். அதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டவுடன், “இவ்வளவு ஸமீபமா பெரியவா வந்திருக்கறச்சே கூட, என்னோட பாபம், பெரியவாளை தர்ஶனம் பண்ண முடியலியே! ” மனஸும், ஶரீரமும் உருகிப் போய் கண்ணீர் வடிக்க மட்டுந்தான் முடிந்தது. ஆனால் உடல்நிலை இடம் கொடுக்கவில்லை.
” என்னோட கடைசி மூச்சு, இந்த படுக்கைலதான்” என்று அரற்றினாள்.
” காலன் வரதுக்குள்ள, என் ஶங்கரனை [கால காலனை] பாத்துட்டேன்னா….போறும். எவ்வளவோ ஆறுதலா இருக்கும்….பாழும் உடம்பு, படுக்கையில் புரளக்கூட முடியாம இருக்கு. நான் குடுத்து வெச்சது அவ்வளவுதான்”
அந்தர்யாமி அறியாததா?
மதனப்பள்ளிக்கு பெரியவாளை தர்ஶனம் பண்ண வந்த பக்தர்,
“பெரியவாகிட்ட ஒரு விண்ணப்பம்….திருப்புகழ் மணி ஐயரோட ஸம்ஸாரம் இங்க ஒரு ஆஸ்பத்ரில ரொம்ப ஸீரியஸ்ஸா இருக்கா…..TB….ரொம்ப அட்வான்ஸ் ஸ்டேஜ்….”
அவர் சொல்லி முடிக்கவில்லை, பாரிஷதரைக் கூப்பிட்டு, ” மணியோட பத்னி எந்த ஆஸ்பத்ரில இருக்கான்னு விஜாரி.. நான் பல்லாக்குலேயே உள்ள போயி அவளைப் பாக்கலாமா…ன்னு கேளு…”
பொதுவாக மருத்துவமனைக்கு சென்று நோயாளிகளை பார்க்கும் ஸம்ப்ரதாயம் ஸ்ரீ மடத்தில் இல்லை. ஆனால் இது special கேஸ்! திருப்புகழை தமிழ்நாட்டில் பரப்பிய முருக பக்தரின் ஸம்ஸாரம்….ஶுத்தாத்மா!!!
ஹாஸ்பிடல் அதிகாரிகளிடம் சிறப்பு அனுமதி பெற்று அந்த அம்மா படுத்திருந்த கட்டில் வரை, பல்லக்கிலேயே சென்று தர்ஶனம் கொடுத்தார் பெரியவா!!
இது முன் பின் நடந்திராத அபூர்வ நிகழ்ச்சி!!
யாருக்குமே கிடைக்காத மஹாப் பெரிய பாக்யம்! பெரியவா தர்ஶனம் கிடைத்ததில் அம்மாவுக்கு மட்டற்ற மகிழ்ச்சி,
“நான் கனவுல கூட இதை நெனச்சு பாக்கல….பெரியவாளே வந்தாளே! இந்த ஜன்மத்தை கரையேத்தி விட்டுட்டாளே! இனிமே நேக்கு எந்த பயமோ, கவலையோ இல்ல….ஶங்கரா….ஶங்கரா” என்று ஈனஸ்வரத்தில் சொல்லி சொல்லி கண்ணீர் வடித்தாள். தர்ஶனத்துக்கு முன் வரை மனம் சோர்ந்திருந்தவள், பின்னர் எப்போதும் மனதெம்போடு இருந்தாள்..
சில நாட்களிலேயே ஶிவ கணங்கள் வந்து அவளை ஶிவபதத்தில் சேர்க்க அழைத்துச் சென்றனர்.

for Lord Ganesha. From that moment I used to read during my prayer time, Iam very happy with it.

Maha Vaidyar Maha Periyava has given the Blessed Soul Moksha! Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara!
English translation.
Krishnaswamy Iyer who used to be called affectionately as ‘Thiruppugazh MaNi’ was an ardent devotee of Periyava. He stayed in Mylapore. His family had extreme devotion towards MahaPeriyava. Krishnaswamy did a lot towards popularizing the ‘Thiruppugazh’ songs. His wife was suffering from an advanced stage of TB. She was in a MadanapaLLi hospital for treatment.
MahaPeriyava had halted in MadanapaLLi en route to Kashi. Having heard about it, Krishnaswamy Iyer’s wife thought, “It is due to my sins that I’m unable to go and take Periyava’s Darshan even though He is camping so near”. She could only weep about it. Her health did not permit her to go and see Him.
She lamented that her last breath was going to be on that hospital cot.
“Before I breathe my last, it is enough if I take one look at my Shankaran….it will be such a huge relief for me….I’m not even able to turn around in my bed. Looks like this is my fate”
Will the Omniscient One not know about all this ?
One devotee who came to MadanapaLLi to take Periyava’s Darshan told Him, “I want to make a request to Periyava….’Thiruppugazh Mani’s wife is in a hospital nearby. She is very serious…TB…very advanced stage…”
Before even he could complete, Periyava called an attendant and said, “Find out in which hospital Mani’s wife is …ask if I can go in My Pallakku and see her”
It was not the norm in the Shri Matam to go to hospitals and see patients. But this was a special case ! This was the wife of a Murugan devotee who had spead Thirupugazh in Tamil Nadu. A ‘Shuddathma’ !
Permissions were taken from the hospital authorities; Periyava went in his Pallakku right till the hospital bed and gave Darshan !
This was unprecedented. It never happened again either !
This was a Bhaghyam nobody else had got ! The lady was extremely happy on getting Periyava Darshan.
“I did not even dream about something like this happening….Periyava Himself came ! He has taken me safely to the shore ! I do not have a single worry or concern anymore….Shankara…..Shankara”, she kept repeating tearfully. She was so dejected before the Darshan but was in high spirits after the Darshan.
Within a few days, she breathed her last.

Periavva was with my grand son doing bronchoscopy in o. T to show to doctors that there was nothing wrong and he will become all right 👉 very soon and tell them what medicine to be given
ஜன்ம சாபல்யம் சொல்றாலே….. அது இதுதான் போலும். மஹாபெரிவா கருணைக்கடல். அதில் குளிப்பவர்களுக்கெல்லாம் மோக்ஷம் நிச்சயம்.
