What an amazing incident!!! What a blessed devotee!!!
Once Periyava in a large sadas (dialogue among the pundits) Sri Krishnamurthy Mama approached for a darshan. He has almost interacted like a friend with Periyava from a very early age. He was a mirasudhar. He has arranged to take ECG test at some point for Periyava who generally don’t get into any frame.
At the sadas, Periyava was told Krishnamurthy has come for darshan. Periyava has replied as if he doesn’t recognize, “I know so many krishnamurthy. Who is he?” Parishadar responded saying, “Mirasudhar…”. “Oh! Mirasudhar Krishnamurthyaa…” said Periyava.
Then queried what he wants. Sri Krishnamurty Mama replied that he need Periyava’s anugraham to go to Allahabad Triveni Sangamam. Periyava is that sadas asked why should some one need his permission, if they want to go to a river, just go… A striking reply came back from Sri Krishnamurthy Mama…
Reply came from a staunch devotee but in a humble manner…
“இதுவரைக்கும் பெரியவா உத்திரவு இல்லாம எந்த நதியிலேயும் நான் ஸ்நானம் பண்ணதில்லை…”
Who’ll deny?!
“ஓ! அப்படியா? சரி. அப்படீன்னா ஸ்நானம் பண்ணிட்டு திரும்பவும் இங்க வந்து சொல்லிட்டு போறான்ன உத்திரவு தரேன்”. Utharavu came “சரி. அப்படீன்னா போயிட்டு வர சொல்லு.” Sri Krishnamurthy Mama has left & had a divya darshan at Triveni and came back again. This time too Periyava was at a Sadas…
This time even PuduPeriyava Sri Jayendra Saraswati Swamigal was also present. A request for darshan through a parishadar has gone. Again, the query “which Krishnamurthy?” in front of everyone, as if he doesn’t know him. Periyava himself continued “திரிவேணிக்கு போயிட்டு வரேன்னு சொன்னானே அந்த கிரிஷ்ணமுர்த்தியா?” Answer came as yes. “அப்படீன்னா, அவனை இங்கே வர சொல்லு அங்கே என்ன ஆச்சுன்னு சொல்ல சொல்லு”. Sri Krishnamurthy Mama came and mentioned something unthinkable…
“மொதல்ல ஸ்நானம் பண்ணி எழுந்தவுடனே பார்வதி சமேதரர பரமேஸ்வரன் காட்சி கொடுத்தார்…”
“அப்புறம், மகாலட்சுமி சமேதரரா மகாவிஷ்ணு காட்சி கொடுத்தார்…”
“மூனாவதா சரஸ்வதி சமேதரர பிரம்மா காட்சி கொடுத்தார்…”
All told in a humble feeble voice. Periyava reiterated “ஓ! முவரும் காட்சி கொடுத்தாங்களா?” I just couldn’t come out of ecstasy whenever I think stage of having such a darshan, once in a life time? No! Once in koti koti janma. But more intriguing questions continued…
“அந்த முவரையும் நினைச்சித்தான் மூணு ஸ்நானம் பண்ணியோ?” Reply of an ardent devotee followed…
“இல்லை! பெரியவாளை நினைச்சிதான் மூணு ஸ்நானம் பண்ணேன்” Again I couldn’t imagine having darshan of a deivam, one must be in layam with that deivam. No! Sri Mama was in layam with Gurunathal…
“இந்த வாய் இது வரைக்கும் எதுவும் கேட்டதில்லை. இந்த காதுதான் கேட்டிருக்கு. பெரியவாஎன்ன குடுகிறாளோ அதை வாங்கிக்கிறேன்” Aha! What a reply! What do we know what to ask? Who else would know what to give? Then, the ultimate blessing came…
In that great sadas at sataraa, Periyava stood up. Raised one leg above like that of Sri Natarajaa… Raised his hand with the dhantam… All the windows were slapping over & over… Wind was swirling from all directions… Everyone was speechless…
And Periyava has offered to Sri Mama, “உனக்கு என்ன வேணும் கேள்! தரேன்!” And a fitting ultimate reply came…
“ஓ! முவரையும் தரிசனம் பண்ணிட்டு வந்திருக்கான். இவரை பார்த்தாலே புண்ணியம் எல்லோரும் பாருங்கோ”
Periyava has even told this to PuduPeriyava… And then came the ultimate…
For seventy five years, Sri Krishnamurthy mama says “இந்த வாய் இது வரைக்கும் எதுவும் கேட்டதில்லை. இந்த காதுதான் கேட்டிருக்கு”. Is it possible? Almost every minute my mind is asking something or other… From traffic signal, salary increase, kids well being… Oh! There are million, sorry billions things were asked… But here is a bhaktha with total surrender… Periyava blessed him the ultimate…
” உனக்கு, நான் முக்திய தரேன்! ஆனா முக்தி தந்த பிறகு யாரோட நமஸ்காரத்தையும் ஏத்துக்காதே…” Then Sri Mama left. In his last few days, Sri Ramadurai Mama has had the darshan of Sri Krishnamurthy mama and he said “Don’t do namaskaram for me. Periyava has given mukthi & I’ll leave this pournami” and left so.
Pundits say Periyava is the Parabrahmam and has been the source of all Deivams. To his lotus feet our namaskarams.
