மந்திராலயம் ஸ்ரீராகவேந்திரர் பிருந்தாவன தரிசனத்துக்காக சென்னையிலிருந்து பம்பாய் மெயிலில் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தார், ஒரு பக்தர். தூக்கக் கலக்கம்.புகைவண்டி ஒரு ஸ்டேஷனில் நின்றதும், தான் இறங்க வேண்டிய ரயில் நிலையம் அதுதான் என்று எண்ணி பரபரவென்று
இறங்கிவிட்டார்.
மெயில் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்ற பின்னர் பெயர்ப் பலகையைப் பார்த்தார். ‘குண்டக்கல்!’
“அட தேவுடா! இங்கே இறங்கிட்டேனே?…”
அதே மெயிலில் வந்த ஸ்ரீமடத்தின் பக்தர் ஜோஷி என்பவரும் அவர் நண்பர்களும், குழம்பிப் போய் நின்று கொண்டிருந்த மந்திராலய பக்தரைப் பார்த்தார்கள்.
அந்தச் சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் ஸ்ரீபெரியவா ஹகரியில் தங்கியிருந்தார்கள். அவர்களைத் தரிசிப்பதற்காகத்தான் ஜோஷி முதலியவர்கள் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.
“தூக்கக் கலக்கத்தில் இங்கே இறங்கி விட்டேன்” என்றார் மந்திராலயம்.
“கலக்கம் இல்லே, ரொம்பத் தெளிவாகத்தான் இறங்கியிருக்கிறீர்கள்…வாருங்கள். ஹகரிக்குப் போய், பெரியவாளைத் தரிசனம் பண்ணலாம்” என்றார் ஜோஷி.
பெரியவா திருவடிகளில் நமஸ்காரம் செய்துவிட்டு ஜோஷி கோஷ்டியினர் ஒதுங்கி நின்றார்கள்.
வழக்கம் போல் ஒவ்வொருவராக விசாரணை. மந்திராலயம் அன்பர் முறை வந்ததும், “இவர் இங்கே வருவதாக இல்லையே! நீங்கள் அழைத்து
வந்தீர்களா?” என்று ஜோஷியைப் பார்த்துக் கேட்டார்கள்.
மந்திராலய பக்தருக்குப் பயம் வந்துவிட்டது. “நான், இங்கே பெரியவாளைப் பார்க்காமல், நேரே மந்திராலயம் போக நினைத்ததால்தான் அங்கே போக
முடியாமல் போயிடுத்து….”
பெரியவாள் அவரை அருகில் அழைத்தார்கள். மெல்லிய குரலில் நீளமாகப் பேசினார்கள். அவ்வப்போது மந்திராலய பக்தர், “ஆமாம்…ஆமாம்…” என்று
பெரியவாள் சொன்னதை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டதற்கு அடையாளமாகத் தலையை ஆட்டிக் கொண்டிருந்தார்.
மந்திராலய அன்பரின் தாயார் கிணற்றில் விழுந்து தற்கொலை செய்து கொண்டு விட்டாராம்.
“அப்படித் தானே?” என்று பெரியவாள் கேட்டார்கள்.
“ஆமாம்..” என்று குற்ற உணர்வுடன் பதில்.
“கூடிய சீக்கிரம் நீ கயாவுக்குப் போய் சிராத்தம் ..பண்ணு…அம்மாவுக்கு விடுதலை கிடைக்கும்…”
பின்னால் மந்திராலய அன்பர் வந்து பெரியவாள் பேசிய பேச்சுக்களையும்,உத்தரவையும் எங்களிடம் தெரிவித்தார்.
“கிணற்றில் விழுந்து உயிரை விட்டவரின் ஆவி நிர்க்கதியாகத் தான் தவித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதைக் கூறி, தனக்கு விடுதலை கேட்டுப் பெரியவாளைப்
பிரார்த்தித்திருக்கும்.அதனால்தான்,அவளுடைய பிள்ளையாண்டானை குண்டக்கல்லில் இறங்கச் செய்து தன்னிடம் வரவழைத்து விட்டார்கள் பெரியவா” என்றார் ஜோஷி.
உண்மையாகவே இருக்கலாம். இல்லாவிட்டால் மந்திராலய அன்பருடைய தாயாரின் துர்மரணம் குறித்து பெரியவாளுக்கு எப்படித் தெரியும்?
இந்தக் காவியரசருக்கு ஆவிகளின் மொழியும் தெரியுமோ?

To have Darshan of the Sri Raghavendra Swami Brindavanam at Mantralaya, a devotee was travelling in the Bombay Mail from Chennai. Drowsy with sleep, when the train stopped at a station, he hurriedly got down, wrongly assuming that his destination had arrived.
It was only after the train left the station that he read the signboard there – Guntakkal !
“Oh, God, what have I done?”
SriMatam devotee Joshi and his friends who had travelled in the same train happened to see the Mantralaya devotee standing there, looking lost.
Periyava was camping in Hagari. It was to take His Darshan that Joshi’s troupe had come there.
“Since I was still drowsy with sleep, I got down here by mistake”, said the Mantralaya devotee.
“It is no mistake, you have actually done the right thing by getting down here…Come, let us go to Hagari and take Periyava’s Darshan”, said Joshi.
After prostrating at Periyava’s Feet, Joshi and his entourage stood aside.
As was His wont, Periyava started enquiring about everyone there. As soon as the turn of the Mantralaya devotee came, Periyava said, “This person was not supposed to come here, did you people bring him here ?”
The Mantralaya devotee panicked “It was because I planned to go to Mantralaya directly without stopping here to see Periyava that I have been unable to go there….”
Periyava called him to His side and started speaking to him in low tones. As if to indicate assent, the Mantralaya devotee kept nodding his head every now and then.
Apparently, the Mantralaya devotee’s mother had committed suicide by jumping into a well.
“Isn’t that true?”, asked Periyava.
“Yes”, the reply came, laced with guilt.
“You should go to Gaya at the earliest and perform Shraddham for your mother…your mother will be liberated”
Later the Mantralaya devotee told us all about their conversation.
“The soul of the lady who had committed suicide by jumping into a well must have told Periyava about its suffering and prayed to Him for liberation. That is the reason Periyava made the son get down at Guntakkal and drew him to Himself”, said Joshi.
Must be true. How else could Periyava come to know about the tragic end of the devotee’s mother ?
Does this Saffron Saint understand the language of spirits too ? We are sinners, we have no way of knowing !
Endless lists of anecdotes from Periva devotees are in interminable circulations without verification and authenticity. I can weave many interesting and awe inspiring stories to perpetrate the admiration for Periva. I do not intend to challenge these innumerable stories about him esp. when He is no more for verification.In future please mention the date ,time ,place and the identity of persons around living for the benefit of the believers.
If not checked soon one would wonder as to how the omnipresent Periva had covered millions of incidents within his life time.
This is regarding the incidence of Joshi at the end you have added a word பாவிகளான நமக்கு என்ன தெரியும்! My Humble pranams to you is, the word is used only certain community. I think in future we should remove the above word. Pl dont mistake me, i dont have a any right to say, it is only suggestion & wishes

Maha Periaval Charanam! He said in Deivathin Kural that he is hearing all kinds of “Olam (“howling”) of the deceased and departed souls indicating that pithru karyam was not done for them such as Tharpanam and Sraddham by their children and hence suffering from Hunger and not able to be liberated! That is sathyam and only He Knows!
Mahapervaal might have had Tintinus problem of the ears, where one hears higher frequency noises. Some drugs are available to reduce this noises which often leads to slow deafness.Howlings, hunger and sufferings said to be still troubling the departed souls numbering several crores since the Homosapiens came into being in this world dating back to about 50000 years or so. Confining to Tamilnadu and that too only the Tamil brahmins , Periva could have given the list for the benefit Tamil or Plaghat brahmins living- (perhaps only 5 % of the total population) . By this specific and stupendous service Periva of awakening of the existing Brahmins He could have cleansed the space around ,off Millions of souls with Mukthi.. Perhaps still an unfinished task.
