Shri Ramanathan Chettiar passed away

I regret to inform you all that Shri Chettiar had passed away few hours back while traveling to Kanchipuram.

Shri Chettiar does not require any introduction. Simply a great man…One of the purest devotees of Mahaperiyava. Periyava Himself certified that his bakthi is a natural one and not taught by anyone else.

It seems that Chettiar was traveling with his wife to Kanchipuram and talking about Periyava and said “He will take care of everything etc”. Within seconds, driver had apparently noticed in the rear-view mirror that his head hanging down and when checked, he had already reached Periyava’s feet. All happened within seconds.

Shri Chettiar already predicted that his death will not happen at home as Periyava is there and Lord Yama can’t enter such house – this is faith, bakthi! We see photos as photos of Periyava – he see photos as actual Periyava sitting right in his house..

Shri Chettiar kind of souls are 1000 times blessed by Periyava and there is absolutely no rebirths for them. We can be sure that he is at His feet.

He lived a simple and noble life, stood as a stellar example for all of us. Let us learn and do more bakthi towards Periyava.

Here is his interview:

  1. Aum Shanthi! Great devotion towards Periyava was reflecting in every syllable of Chettiar and his wife. Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara. I recently watched his video.

  2. Periyava has called him. There is no death for such a great soul.

  3. just saw him last week in kancheepuram. what an end he had?

  4. Sri Ramanathan Chettiar is a Mahaan who attained Moksha (Anaayaasa MaraNam) thinking of Maha Periyava in His Last Moments! He must have merged with Maha Periyava’s Lotus Feet! It is a pity that Great devotees of Maha Periyava are leaving one by one, but Death is inevitable for all of us. It must have led these three great Devotees to Moksha, which is what matters here! Sri Sivaraman and Sri Mahesh and all their friends deserve our thanks for this massive Project of compiling Maha Periyava Experiences of these Great Devotees first hand! May this Project continue so that Maha Periyava experiences of Devotees enrich our lives and make us better every day! I pray to Maha Periyava’s Lotus Feet to Bless all devotees! Hara Hara Shankara, jaya Jaya Shankara!

  5. Sankara Sankara Sadasiva!

Do not say Passed Away — Please say they have attained MahaPeriyavas Padham —

  9. Great man indeed. I was lucky to meet him just a month or so ago at the Mutt. My prayers for his family to bear this loss.

  10. “We see photos as photos of Periyava – he see photos as actual Periyava sitting right in his house.. ” That’s the influence of Pradosham Thatha. He would get furious to hear anybody referring to Periyava as photo, and that same sentiment continues to run in Thatha’s family and his extended family comprising of devotees.

The interview itself has both Chettiar and his wife speak about a life of fulfillment and that’s a quality that can come only through the complete grace of Mahaperiyava
