ஹரிஹர பஞ்சாக்ஷரம்:- பொதுவாக பஞ்சாக்ஷரம் என்றால் அது “நம: சிவாய” என்னும் சிவபஞ்சாக்ஷரி மந்திரம் தான் நமக்குத் தெரியும்.ஆனால் நாராயண உபநிஷதத்தில் ஸ்ரீநாதனான நாராயணனுக்கும் பஞ்சாக்ஷரி மந்திரம் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. “नारायणाय इथि पञ्चाक्षराणी” — नारायण उपनिषदां !! “நாராயணாய இதி பஞ்சாக்ஷராணி” –நாராயண உபநிஷத்.
பொருள்:- “நாராயணாய” என்னும் ஐந்தெழுத்து. பஞ்சாக்ஷர ஜபம் என்பது இன்றி அமையாத ஒன்று.அது சிவனுடயாதாக இருந்தாலும் சரி, திருமாளுடயதாக இருந்தாலும் சரி நாமஜபம் நன்றே பயக்கும். இருவரதையும் “சிவாவிஷ்ணு” பேதம் இன்றி ஒன்றாக சேர்த்து, “நம: சிவாய ! நாராயணாய !!” என்று ஜபம் செய்தால் மிகுந்த பலன் கிட்டும்.
“சிவாய விஷ்ணுரூபாய சிவரூபாய விஷ்ணவே ! சிவஸ்ச ஹ்ருதயம் விஷ்ணு: விஷ்ணுஸ்ச ஹ்ருதயம் சிவ: !!”
பொருள்:- சிவபிரான் விஷ்ணுரூபத்திலும், விஷ்ணு சிவனின் ரூபத்திலும் உள்ளர்.விஷ்ணுவின் இதயத்துள் சிவன் மட்டுமே உள்ளார்.சிவனின் இதயத்திலும் திருமால் விஷ்ணு மட்டுமே உள்ளர்.” என்பது நம் சான்றோர் வாக்கு. ஆதலால் சைவ வைணவ பிரிவின்றி, சிவாவிஷ்ணு த்வேஷமின்றி ஹரிஹரனை வணங்குவோம்.

The word “Rama” is from the both panchakshari (or ashtakshari) mantra of Narayana and panchakshari mantra of Shiva. The letter ‘RA’ comes from the word Narayanays and ‘MA’ comes from the word ‘namaH Shivaya’.
This is the confirmed opinion of various saints including Bagavannama Bodhendra Saraswati Swamigal and the singer-saint Shri. Thyagaraja.

Siavaya Vishnu Roopaya,Siva Roopaya Vishnave. And
Sivascha Hridayam Vishnuhu,Vishnuscha Hridayam Sivaha
Should be taught to all our kids at an early age so that the Siva Vishnu bedham does not exist at all in the young minds.

Neethi sastra says ” Suvarnam Ekam Bahu Bhooshanatma”( though ornaments are many with different names gold is the same ,or gold manifests itself in miriad jwellary names and forms though retaining its oneness.
There is a glaring spelling mistake which connotes a bad meaning,unintentionally though,in the letter of sri.P.Vijay.instead of Sri. Hari he has typed Sri.Hair.please correct it and efface my mail also.(fifth line)
Brahma & Rudhra (Shiva) belong to the Jeeva Tatva. They are given the tasks of Srushti and Pralaya respectively by the Para Brahmam known as Sriman Narayana who is the only Iswara Tatva. Only Sriman Narayana is Para Tatvam and is capable of liberating any Jeeva-including Brahma and Rudra from the Samsara.
Dear Nityasoori, the whole topic is on Shiva Vishnu Abetham. As Sri Mahaperiyavaa has told very clearly there is no question of either Shiva or Vishnu being the only Tatva. Let us rid of this narrow mind by the Grace of Sri Paramacharya.
