Another atrocity has been ended by the grace of Lord Nataraja and an outstanding (what an under-estimated word in this context) of Sri Subramaniam Swamy in the supreme court. I am sure not many of us closely followed this case…I was recently introduced to few individuals who have been writing about the atrocities done by govt authorities in the temple….These individuals also briefed on how Subramaniam Swamy argued in the supreme court and used his brahmastram on challenging the very article against which the appointment was made. I was told that the case was pretty much lost until Swamy came up with a brilliant idea at the tail end of the case and challengied the very article that appointed a govt authority. .We all know how much Mahaperiyava advocated a lot on the same topic. Without Lord’s and Periyava’s blessings, this would not have happened at all…
It is truly a great victory for diskshithars and to 1000 year old culture being followed there. One would shed tears if they get to know the kind of things these officials did that were against the acharam and sanctity of the temple….Let us all pray Lord Nataraja to give all the health, wealth and prosperity to Sri Subramanian Swamy for his work here and continue to guide dikshithars so that the temple is run without leaving any room for pointing fingers at them again.

Sri Kahanam is right. The HRCE is unconstitutional and must be abolished. When corrective action is needed to set right adharmic behaviour of those who are invested with the responsibility to care for the Devasthaanams and the worshippers – as it has been happening – the effort to do so must come from the affected people themselves.
Also, in a country that professes to be secular, the government cannot and should not fund nor facilitate religious activities, other than to look to the security of the people on the spot. All discriminatory practices and laws will only result in rift and hatred. The maintenance of Justice, Security and Peace in the land is the duty of the government. Charity, friendship, or ‘positive’ discrimination should be left to the consciences of the people.
In maharashtra there is a small Hill station called Mahabaleshwar here too deosthan it consists of district judge, local revenue govt. Officials and advocates. Just because devotees give offering to this temple the temple committee has put more than 300 cases all false against local villagers and resident’s. They have harressed all in the courts disconnected water connections demolished houses (legal) all because the have devotees money and a district judge ( satara district) please wake up sleeping government before local villagers commit susides and harm themselves. All I can say is govt. Shouldn’t be allowed to run temples. Only corruption exists in them and functioning.

At the time when Chidambaram temple case verdict came favourable, another case is brewing up at Ayodhya Mandapam, West Mambalam, Chennai. According to latest information, it is being taken over by Tamil Nadu Government and will be subject to HRCE control. Let us pray that sanctity of Ayodhya Mandapam is maintained and a similar favourable verdict is rolled out.

Apart from this, I am questioning the very existence of HRCE. Why it should exist at all, when the job for looking after each and every temple in the country and its properties and affairs , should be looked after only by the Aasthikaas who are located there and not entrusted to some Govt. organisation, which has different yardsticks for different religions. I feel that Sri Subramanian Swamy should file a PIL in Supreme Court, praying for the abolition of HRCE itself. Some Day, very soon, by Maha Periyava’s Anugraham, it will happen, when a true secular Government comes into existence. Jaya Jaya Shankara, Hara Hara Shankara!
Great news. But sad news, yesterday Ayodhya Mandapam in West Mambalam, was taken over by the govt, (HRCE), which was started in 1964, this is the 50th year. Sri Periyava graced this place in 60’s and then by Sri Jeyandhra Saraswathi Swamigal and Sri Vijeyandra Saraswathi Swamigal several times. A petition by someone to HRCE prompted them to do this takeover.

dikshidars should also change their attitude towards the devottes who comes for dharsans at that temple.
Govts claim to be secular, but have no qualms in appropriating temple funds and properties. Not just here all over the country Govt should get out of temples.
I agree. I think all like-minded people should join in this campaign to remove the govt control of all temples in our country and focus on restoring the acharam and sastras in the temples which is highly wanting.

Good news. All the Hindu temples should be taken out of government hand. They cannot touch churches and mosques.
Also…. There are lot of complaints against dikshidars. They also should change. .All should be happy.
What complaints are there against deekshithars? They try to canvass u to take kattalai archanai- what else do they do ? Kattalai archanai is the only source of their income, and they are very prompt and perfect in that.
