The false case foisted against our acharyas has come to a great end. Not just our acharyas but all 23 accused are acquitted. I believe that the judge has also included a statement that this case was fabricated due to personal vendetta of police officer (deceased) Prem Kumar.
Enough to all the stress and the sufferings of both the Periyavas for the past 9+ years. The entire devotees’ prayers to Mahaperiyava and Goddess Kamakshi have been answered. How many veda parayanam, japams and homams have been conducted for this!! Veda matha has certainly stood behind all of us in this case….Among millions of devotees, I too want to join to celebrate this greatest day!
In US, we are currently going having Thanksgiving holidays. For Kanchi devotees, more prayers and much more bakthi towards our greatest acharya parampara are the only thanksgiving we could all think of…

God has been kind. The judgement is a true bliss and great relief to all right thinking, honest and sincere devotees who have had to bear the brunt silently.Nine ordeal years!
They had to face the ordeal whenever negative news appeared that was trying to damage the great Sri Matham. Many a times during the tough times, the news released was speculative and not substantive, vindictive & mudslinging. However both the Acharyas taught us a great deal, by bearing the brunt in an exemplary manner and They made us all very proud and more attached to the Matham in the critical period.
It is truly amazing to witness the Periva and Bala Periva maintaining stoic disposition.They continued their daily mission and religious pursuits with great composure during the worse times. This has become possible by the benign blessings of Paramacharya, Guru Parampara, Great Adi Sankara, Great heritage and the presiding deities of the Sri Kanchi Mutt. Thanks a million to all those devotees who prayed in silence. Their action certainly contributed a great deal to this positive development. As Perivaa said in the interview, let us leave the past and work for the present. His statement that already nine precious years were lost indicates no time to be lost henceforth.
Let us all rejoice and partake in the growth of this illustrious Mutt by being ever vigilant, committed, honest and as true well wishers let us contribute and serve the Mutt in whatever manner as possible.

It is indeed very heartening to hear that Sri Jayendra Sarasvati has been absolved and all the accusations have been thrown out of the window. We always knew that this was a conspiratorial and false accusation against our Acharya. However,such accusations against our Sadhujanas & Acharyas is not just a one-off case of personal vendetta. This was definitely a well thought-out,devious,Abrahamic assault against our Dharma with consent & active participation of ‘powerful people very high-up in the country’.
Such attacks started centuries ago but now it has come to this ‘lowest of lows’ where even our Sadhus & Sanyasis are not left in peace to do their Sattvik work. Yes,we know that there are charlatans everywhere but to implicate a Mathaadhipati of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham of Sri Jayendra Sarasvati’s standing in such a crime has been the most base and reprehensible attack on our Dharma.
Why are other religions being left alone? Here dirty power politics has played a big role. By trying to belittle Sanatana Dharma, it is a convoluted way to give a “secular” and supportive nod to two other vote-bank communities. And sad to say that there were so many of our own who also disowned this great sage.However,truth always comes to light.
All of you may be wondering as to why of late so many of ‘Sadhus & Sanyasis’ have been under attack. There have been ‘great exposés’ where false evidence has been planted by traitors coming from within our own following ( in Sri Tulasi RAMACHARITAMANAS there is a doha which says-घर का भेदी लंका ढाए- Lankapuri fell because Vibheeshana played foul with his own brother Ravan.)
Even as I write there is one well-known Sadhu who has been accused of dire misconduct.
They way he has been portrayed by the press and television media is very disturbing and without dignity. What right does anyone have to accuse and insult a person even before getting proof ? And that too just based on verbal accusations by someone.
The most vicious enemies are the converted Christians who are being bought over with money and promises of a shining future. They are even worse than other known people from other religions who have always opposed us and been our enemies. These people use Hindu names, wear all our Hindu symbols like Pottu, poduvai and Mangalsutra and fool our naive Hindus.They construct ‘kovils’ that look just like our temples but inside they are churches. They use all types of ‘cheating methods’ to fool our poor. We have to be aware of what is happening around us and know something about the ground reality. Thyagaraja Swamigal’s kritis are sung but the name Yesuraja is inserted in the place of Thyagaraja’s name. What are we doing about it? We cannot sit in our ivory towers and ignore this terrible attack. We Hindus have to be united on all fronts and cannot afford to be divided on small petty issues which is the malaise of our people today! This terrible state to which our Punyabhoomi has been reduced is the direct result of our apathy towards our social issues. A dharmically derived socail mindset is actually ethical,moral and spiritual.
We have to tackle these issues.
Today we are passing through a time where Sanatana Dharma is not only being attacked by outsiders but from within our own country and even by our own people.
This is a great tragedy because if we do not defend what is ours and what has been passed down to us through generations of our Sages & Rishis our SANATANA DHARMA will become extinct and then I dare say that will be end of the greatest civilization of the world.
Let us put our heads and hearts together and be true Sanatanis.
Let us be unafraid to say we are Hindus – and show we are true Hindus.

Though I am not a right person to comment about this, still I feel that both the acharas should keep themselves away from people like Raghu etc.,. I have anticipated this verdict. Sri Mahaperiyaval and Tripurasundari Thayar will not allow the great Mutt to carry life long black spot.
From TV reports its appears that 83 witnesses deposed opposit to what police had recorded as their statements. Such a massive distortion of statements cannot be a chance error. It had to be coersion or deliberate false recording. Threat or inducement to witnesses is not admissible under Evidence Act and it is prohibited under Criminal procedure Code. That way, any person can be charged under any offence. Somebody may recal that she was raped 25 years ago as in case of evidence against Asaram Bapu. Any person will know of rape within 5 mintes even as a minor. Similar cases are made out against some judges of Supreme Court after their retirement by Senior Wome Advocates. At lease advocates of Supreme court know leagal & physical meaning of rape. Did they accepted it willingly in hope of favourable judgement? then they should also demand that favourable judgements obtained by them should be reversed. That would create havoc in those cases and many other cases where such judgements have been used as reference. What would happened to civil & criminal acts done in pursuance of those judgements? Recording of manipulated false statements is an offence under sections of IPC-166-Public servant disobeying law with intent to cause injury to any person, 167-Public servant framing an incorrect document with intent to cause injury. 192-Fabricating false evidence, 193-Punishment for false evidence, 194-Giving or fabricating false evidence with intent to procure conviction of capital offence, 196-using evidence known to be false. Thus, the investigating officers fabricating false evidence & statements are punishable under sections 166/167/192/194 of Indian Penal code. Similarly, witnesses who have given false statements under signature before magistrate are liable under sections 177/178/182 of IPC. They must be prosecuted to save innocent and respected persons like saints, judges of Supreme Court.

A while ago, I read an article/comment about the word ‘Mutt’ in this site. Apparently the term, Mutt was a derogatory term given by Britishers when they ruled us. I see the use of the word Mutt in many posts and would like to gently remind you to use the term “Sri Madam” instead, which sounds way better.

For Paramaathmaa, there is no stress, no pleasure. Periyavaas have been showing this “sama darsana” state to all of us all these days. They really live as embodiment of what Bhagavat Gita says. Once Periyavaa said that “the great saints like thiru gnaana sambandhar, thiru naavukkarasar have gone thru greater pains” – what a great frame of mind and how humble They are! This whole thing has just glorified Periyavaas’ sanctity.
Now Sankaramadam & Hindu organization should file a case against Premkumar the police officer for defamation case for arresting Pontiffs,to defame Hinduism, the way the news today shown in Sathyam TV( Christain machinery owned) is of very much against Hinduism & our pontiffs is to be condemned & protested.This sort of anti hindu venmous medias should be put in gallows like Tehelka.

I am extremely happy that the case came to a logical conclusion. I am planning a trip to India soon to visit the mutt.
Justice is finally delivered. Remembering Bharathiar’s words from Panchali Sabadam ‘ Dharmuathin Vaazhvuthanai Soodhu kavvum – Dharumam Marubadi vellum ‘ – Some important points that I learnt from Periyvaa’s example:
1) Periyavaas have shown exceptional strength in enduring all the troubles in the last decade.
Some people even told them to escape to China – but Periyavaa bravely faced and came out successfully – again proves that Dharma will survive no matter what kolaahala kali makes. Periyavaas have shown to all of us to ‘Face our enemies and not run behind – face the threat and win over it’.
2) Periyavaas continued with unflinching faith in God. Their only thought was loka shemam.
3) Periyavaas observed patience and maunam in coming out from all this – showing all hindus that patience and silence with God’s unflinching faith will surely deliver justice.
Last but not least – There is no loss for Periyavaas, they are sanyaasis and maha gyaanis for them both a palace and prison makes no difference – so, in their mind there is only one thought – that’s GOD.
The only attonement for us, commoners, to have allowed this mishap to happen 10 years before for these mahans, could be to sincerely pray for Periyavaa’s grace and help the mutt to start its activities with all glory as they did during Mahaswami’s time.

Sri. Vijay – Just for your information, Sri Madam has been functioning extraordinarily for the past decade with so many development projects/activities and this certainly had no bearing on the day to day affairs. I understand this verdict means a lot to mere mortals like us but not for Maha Gnanis like our Acharya’s who are in constant advaitic bliss, nothing really matters.

Thanks for correcting, in my humblest opinion, the acharyas carried out all the functions of mutt with same enthusiasm always through Sri Kamakshi and Mahaperiyavaa’s grace and their sankalpam – many people who hovered around them for pity favors, just deserted the acharyas and ran away during the last 9 years. My comments were for us asthikas, to continue the dharmic activities that our present Swamijis initiate as with the same commitment as with Mahaswami’s time. That’s what I tried to convey. To be frank, my family celebrated our true Diwali only on Wedenseday – 27th Nov. 2013 only after the confirmed news of Swamiji’s Jayam in this case. ( remember, Swamiji started his dharma yudhha on a Diwali day @ Mehaboobnagar, Andhrapradesh ).

Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Madathukku Erpatta Sodhaniyilrundu Antha Madam Nala Padi Meelvatharku (Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam to get out of its tribulation) yesterday, Tuesday 26th there was a kootu prarthanai (mass prayer ) organised by Sankaralayam, at 66, Mayor Ramanathan Salai, Chetpet, Chennai-31 between 230 pm to 430 pm by chanting Vishnu Sahasranamam, Adhithy Hridhayam, Sri Durga Saptaslogi, Kandha Shasti Kavasam, Thirupuzhai and Dodakastaham. We all chanted and prayed from our homes.

I would like to state that Sridhar’s mama family of Pondicherry had done a great service to mutt as he was looking after the entire arrangements.all the devotees were taken care of very well and the family faith in mutt and towards perviva has been rewarded.
