Sri Periyava Graham, Salem is conducting 4th annual padha puja for Mahaswami and nadha amrutham/sastriya sangeetha aganda yagnam on November, 10, 2013 in Sri Subham Kalyana Mandapam, Salem. The program starts at 5AM and ends at 9.30 PM. Devotees in Salem are requested to attend this event in large numbers and get the blessings of Mahaswami.

as i mentioned in a different post, this is one more example where devotees of Mahaperiyaa launch such initiatives clearly bypassing or ignoring the revered present Acharyas. Though by themselves such initiatives are well-meant and noble, their obvious show of irreverence to the present Acharyas should not be encouraged. It is the Guru Parampara which is more important to disciples even though Sishyas may have varying levels of shradhdha towards different Acharyas in the same Parampara.
Not referring to the present Acharyas or seeking their blessings in the Invitations for such events has to be censured in some form.
