நாம் இதைச் சாதித்தோம், அதைச் சாதித்தோம் என்று அகம்பாவப்பட கொஞ்சம்கூட நியாயம் இல்லை. நாம் எதையும் சாதிப்பதற்கான புத்தியோ, தேக பலமோ எங்கிருந்து வந்தது?இந்த பிரபஞ்ச காரியங்கள் அனைத்தையும் செய்கிற ஒரு மஹா சக்தியிடமிருந்தே நம்முடைய, சக்தி எல்லாம் வந்திருக்கிறது. அது இல்லாவிட்டால் நம்மிடம் ஒரு சுவாசம்கூட இருக்கமுடியுமா. ஒருநாள், இதனை சாதித்ததாக எண்ணிக் கர்வப்படுகிற நம்மைவிட்டுச் சுவாசம் போய் விடுகிறது. அதைப் பிடித்து வைத்துக் கொள்கிற சாமர்த்தியம் நமக்குக் கொஞ்சம்கூட இல்லை. அப்போது நம் சக்தி எல்லாமும் சொப்பனம் மாதிரிப் போய்விடுகிறது. கொஞ்சம் யோசித்துப் பார்த்தாலும்கூட, சக்தி சமுத்திரமாக இருக்கப்பட்ட அம்பாளின் ஒரு சிறு துளி அநுக்கிரகத்திலேயே நடக்கிற காரியங்களை, நம்முடையதாக நினைத்து அகம்பாவப்படுவது அசட்டுத் தனம்தான் என்று தெரியும். எத்தனைக்கெத்தனை இந்த அநுபவத்தில் தெரிந்துகொண்டு அம்பாளுக்கு முன் ஒரு துரும்பு மாதிரி அடங்கிக் கிடக்கிறோமோ அத்தனைக்கத்தனை அவள் அநுக்கிரஹமும் நமக்குக் கிடைக்கும்.
நாம் நன்றாக எழுதுகிறோம், பேசுகிறோம், பாடுகிறோம், வேறு ஏதோ காரியம் செய்கிறோம் என்று உலகம் புகழ் மாலை போடுகிறது. அதே சமயத்தில் நமக்குத் தலைகனம் ஏறத்தான் தொடங்கும். அப்போது நமக்குச் சக்தி உண்டா என்று யோசிக்க வேண்டும். எந்த இடத்திலிருந்து நம் சக்தி வந்ததோ, அந்த அம்பாள் இருக்க, புகழுக்குப் பாத்திரராகி அகம்பாவப்பட நமக்குக் கொஞ்சம்கூட உரிமையில்லை என்று உணர வேண்டும். வருகிற பெருமையை எல்லாம் அவற்றுக் குறிய பராசக்தியின் பாதாரவிந்தங்களிலேயே அர்ப்பணம் செய்துவிட வேண்டும். பெருமைப் பூரிப்பில் இருப்பதைவிட, இப்படி அர்ப்பணம் பண்ணிப் பாரம் இல்லாமல் லேசாக ஆவதுதான் நமக்கே பரம சௌக்கியமாக இருக்கும். நமக்கு அகம்பாவமே இல்லை என்கிற எண்ணம் வந்து அதில் ஒரு பூரிப்பு உண்டாகிவிட்டால், அதுவும்கூட அகம்பாவம்தான். எனவே அகம்பாவம் தலை தூக்க இடமே தராமல் சர்வ ஜாக்கிரதையாக இருக்க வேண்டும். எத்தனை கண்குத்திப் பாம்பாக இருந்தாலும், துளி இடுக்குக் கிடைத்தால்கூட ஏதோ ஒரு ரூபத்தில் நமக்கே தெரியாமல் அஹம்பாவம் உள்ளே புகுந்து விடும். இது போகவும் அவள் அருள்தான் வழி. அவளேயே வேண்டி நம் புகழையெல்லாம் அவளுக்கு அர்ப்பணம் பண்ணிவிட்டால், நமக்கு ஒரு குறைவுமில்லாமல் மேலும் மேலும் அவள் அநுக்கிரஹம் கிடைக்கும்.

We can also say “Insha Maha Periyavaa” or Ella Pugazhum Maha Periyavaalukke”.
it is true that we should not boast about what we do or what we have achieved.
Yes it is also true that what all we do are AMBAAL and periyava kataksham without that oru thurumbum asaiyaadu
But in the present day world some times we have to tell what we are and we can do (though not in garvam or boasting way ) other wise we are neglected or superseded.
Can we do that? can any one throwlight on this

Alwars and Nayanmars says the same thing, Thuli Ahambavam in our soul will not get saranagathi to God. Maha – Periyava says the same thing.

we can follow good things of other religions. muslims say insha allah (if God wills) and put the onus on God for all things. (pl dont think of present day scenerios). maha periyava also says same thing. isnt it..

i dont know if you have read the incident about the doctor who was great in those days in his profession and was very proud of it. yes he was a very great doctor in whose name the biggest hospital is here at madras. he went to see periava and someone told him about his boasts. periava smiled and asked the doctor ‘you are a great doctor is it not’ he said ‘yes of course’ . periava asked him have you seen this part, that part etc. and he was greatly elated in explaining about every thing. then he asked what do you say when some one is dead when you see him, he replied in tamil .’praanan poyiduthu’. unless that is there it cant go is it not. the doctor replied of course yes, then periava asked you must have seen that part called praanan, can you tell me where is it!!! Oh. all that the doctor could do was to prostrate before HIM.

ஆண்டு தோறும் ஆடிப்பூர சமயத்தில் அன்னை நாகை நீலாயதாக்ஷி புகழ் போற்றி இயற்றும் பாடலை சற்றுமுன் வல்லமை கணினி இதழில் வழக்கம்போல் பிரசுரிக்க அனுப்பிவிட்டு கணினி மெயில் பார்த்தபொழுது இந்த இடுகை கண்டேன். மஹா பெரியவா ஒரு குட்டு குட்டி உணர்த்தியதை உணர்ந்து அம்ப்பாள் பாதாரவிந்தங்களில் சமர்ப்பணம் செய்து, அந்த கருணாமூர்த்தி மஹா பெரியவா சரண கமலங்களை நெஞ்சுருக நினைத்து மகிழ்ந்தவுடன் மனம் லேசானது. நன்றி மஹேஷ்.
