  13. Yes, Dear Devotees. For item 11, 13, and 20, this as simple as any one can participate nearby to your Shiva temple daily during abishegam,Prathakalam or Sayamkalam and offer Arukgampul, your Rudrakshamala, if the Gurukkal permit and finally your Navaratna mala or Ring. You will get the boons as indicated. Try this please. Maha Perivaas Devotee. R.Shankar.
    .

  14.  Dear Mahesh, doorva means arugam pull( grass) ,rudraksha jal means water with rudraksha  and water with 9 precious stones is navratna jal . That is what i think ,i may be wrong. sarasweathi.

    ________________________________

  15. Doorvodaka is water through grass(Arugampul).i.e by keeping the grass in a sieved plate and pouring water.
Similarly Rudrakhotdak(am) pouring water by keeping rudrakshas in a sieved plate.
Similarly Navratnajal is pouring water through nine gem stones placed in a sieved plate as is done during Satabhisheka of human beings.

  16. 11. Doorvodakam – Doorvam – Arugam pull; Udhakam – Water Doorvodakam means water with arugam pull soaked in it.
    13. Rudraakshodak water with rudraksham soaked in it.
    20. Nav Ratan Jal – Water with navratnam soaked in it.
    9. Pushpodak – Pushpam + Udakam – in the same way as Doorvodhakam

  17. You say 11 items, yet you are showing 22 items for abhsihekam. Normally 11 items are used for abhishekam for Siva Lingam. These are:= 1. Gandha Thailam 2} Panchagavyam 3} Panchaamrutham 4} Ghee 5} Cows milk 6} Yogurt 7} Honey 8} Sugarcane juice 9} Lemon Juice
10} tender cocoanut juice 11} Sandal paste. In fact there is a verse which runs like this: =
prathamam gandha thailam cha, dvitheeyam panchagavyakam, panchaamrutham thritheeyam cha, chathurtham ghruthameva cha, panchamam payasaa snaanam, dadhnaa snaanm thu chathushtakam, sapthamam madhunaa snaanam, ashtamam cheskshudandajam, navamam nimbathoyam cha, dasamam naalikerajam, ekaadasam gandhathoyam atha kumbhaabhishechanam.

    • i assume the next 11 are chamakam anuvakams and first 11 are rudram anuvakams (sri rudram is 11 anuvakams of Rudram and 11 anuvakams of Chamakam)

  18. Rama rama

    Udhakam means water.
Eg Ushnodhakam means Warm water (Not Hot water) used to bath the deities.

    In the same line,
    (11) Doorva udhakam means Water in contact with Arugampul (Grass used for Pillayar).
This will bring back the lost property/ money.

    (13) Rudraksha udhakam means Water in contact with Rudraksha.
This will bring in all fortunes.

    (20) Navratna udhakam means Water in contact with 9 gems meant for Navagraha.

As such Various terms are used to denote the water as udhakam, Jalam etc.
In vedic context, Udhkam is eq to potable water. Whereas Jalam may be of general use.

Additional info I would like to share, what I have heard from Kashi pundits is as follows:
We are not supposed to call as Ganga Jal OR Ganga Tirth as many of us do.

    Jalam is generic,
Eg (koopa jalam – Well water; Nadhi Jalam – River water etc)

    Tirth is specific.
(Pushkar Tirth (Famous or Brahma temple), Kurukshetra tadaka Tirth (Famous for Solar eclipse bathing) etc)
In degree of excellence, GANGA is superior to Jalam & Tirth.
So, Simply by saying GANGA the purpose is served.

Shiva is Asutoshi (One who becomes happy immediately) when we do abhishekam with GANGA.

    Rama Rama

  19. what is the usuage name of 7,9,11,13,20 and also
for 14 it means the holy water with gold items or gold vessel used for abhsehekam

  20. Superb to read. Even in Manasika Pooja, we can offer these! Ideal to get the materials and offer to Lord Shiva, at least once, and pray with devotion!

    Doorvodakam: Water with fragnant materials
    Rudraakshodak: water with Rudraaksh
Navratan Jal: Water with Navaratnas, Ruby Manikkam, Pearl Muthu, Coral Pavazham, Emerald Maragatham, Yellow Sapphire Pushparagam, Diamond Vairam, Blue stone Neelam,Hessonite Gomeethakam and Cat’Eye Vaiduuryam(all Gemstones from Sun to Kethu respectivey in order)

  21. I think , 11 — Abhishekam with dooraayugmam water.
13——–keep rudraasha in the water, do abhishekam with that water.

  22. I found some reference in

    http://www.sushmajee.com/shiv/worship/1-shiv-poojaa-1.htm

    Rudraakshodak (water with Rudraaksh)
    Pushpodak (water with flowers)

  23. Doorvodakam – sanctified water in which the arugam pul (doorva) is immersed and offered. I am not sure if this is priyam for Siva Peruman, although we all know it is offered to both Sri MahaGanapathi and Sri Nandikeshwara.

Rudraakshodak – sanctified water in which rudraksham is immersed and offered.

Nav Ratan Jal – sanctified water in which the nava ratnam-s are immersed and offered.
