I am getting lots of emails regularly – particularly from elderly people – about computer glitches while accessing this blog or a post/page etc. Errors like “Ah snap” in chrome browser etc. Also I sympathize the situation, I am unable to help you any further due to various reasons – primary reason being me being in US – way far away from you all. I am really clueless on how to help you if your entire browser crashes. As a computer IT guy, here are my immediate suggestions ::
- I am sure most of you are using Windows computers. It will have Internet Explorer (IE) as a browser. Try it out – if that works, keep using it.
- If you are little bit knowledgeable, install Firefox or Safari and see if that helps
- If you have tried all of them, and if all browsers fail on you, please email me under what scenario, they crash – does it crash when going to any site or only to this blog. If it is only to this blog, does it crash when going to a post with photos, videos, pdf document embedded in it? Not that I have a solution there – at least it will give me an idea on what might be causing this…..
- Other than these, I am running out of options…I am requesting more ideas from others….
Now a request to tech-savvy folks in the blog – can any of you put together a FAQ document on things around browsers, how to download videos, audios etc? This might help several folks…Additionally can I get some volunteers in Chennai who are willing to take few calls to help some mamas/thathas out in this forum on these issues? You are my L1 support 🙂

I may not have time to review them etc – I will trust your work 🙂

Dear Sri Mahesh.,
This is just to acknowledge and appreciate the efforts you have been taking to do your best. I am a regular follower of your postings. Do not know anything about computer operations except to open the mails , browse, view ,respond and forward. Whenever the attachments do not open up properly or crash I always miss them not knowing what to do cursing my luck in missing the messages/topics.
With indiffernt health I am unable to improve my learning on the operations. Kindly keep up the great service.

I make use of mozilla firefox for browsing and checking up mails
when I open some of your mails on “sage of kanchi”, I get a crash report and the entire thing goes out
I need to restart
however I am enjoying to read all your mails on Sri Maha periava

On the computer crashes, I can help in some cases. Feel free to CC my email in your reply and I will try to look at atleast as much as I can. If it is becoming more, I will let you know.
But for the sudden crash of google chrome please inform all the blog viewers that upgrading from WIndows XP SP2 to SP3 will help them solving this issue. I came across one of our desktop same issue. I tried all the suggestions given by “Chrome AW SNAP” problem but no use. Then i installed Windows XP SP3 solved all the issues viewing the blog.

I always check the mails from “Sage of Kanchi”. And also i am a devotee of Shri. Kanchi Maha Periyaval. I have collected many articles on “Experience with Mahaperiyava” & always listen to it. I have a suggestion. Why don’t you collect & publish Foreigners’ experience with Shri. Mahaperiyava. Please collect the experiences of various people from all parts of the world. Youngsters should read this .

I feel extremely happy to be a ANIL for ur job. I can type in tamil with google transliteration. So u can very well send me some scanned copies , i will definetely type and send it within a day or two to ur mail id.
