  5. There is a photograph of this. It appeared in some Deepavali Malar in the early 1970s. The drawing is very realistic,magnificent and has truly captured Mahaperiyava. Thanks. krishnaswamy.

  7. A cute feeling of happiness spread over me as the divine bliss in the photo seemed quite contagious

  8. This is not imaginary. I distinctly remember the Tamil weekly,’Ananda Vikatan’ publishing a black and white photograph of Periyava lighting a ‘mathaappu’ with the caption which had words like ‘child like joy on HIS face’ or words to that effect. I have been hunting for this to post this before anyone could lay hands on it. Anyway thanks for the painting which does depict HIM as HE alone could be.

    • Did not know that this actually happened…..How delightful it would have been to see this in real?! Blessed are those people around Him at that time….
