In the last one week, I’ve been very busy posting about all jayanthi celebrations alone!!!! It still keeps coming from all around the world. Amazing to see how Periyava is everywhere in everyone’s heart.. What is even more heart-filling is they take time to send the invitation to me to share with rest of the world….Thanks to each and every soul for thinking about this blog…..

What Sri Pradosham mama said and wished  “பெரியவாளை பிடிச்சுக்கோங்கோ …பேட்டைக்கு பேட்டை அவாளை கொண்டாடுங்கோ …” is coming true. If you haven’t read the text in the invitation of Sri Pradosham mama’s celebration event, please do – amazingly written.

The above photo is my favorite, where He sees you directly into your eyes. If you need any support for tough situation, this photo can put you at ease…

  2. on this anusham day .let us take a pledge to perform “GAYATHRI MANTHRA” EVERY DAY AT LEAST 108 TIMES IRRESPECTIVE OF ANY BUSSY SCHEDULE

  3. i wish from the core of my heart that each and every hindu is united under the GREAT BANNER OF ONE OF THE KINDEST BEINGS MAHA PERIYAVA WHO TREAD ON THIS EARTH since gOD never belongs to any one sect alone, and HE has proved it while living itself as HE mingled with one and all without any bheda bhava

  4. Several Nayanmars of Saiva and Alwars of Vaishnava are non brahmins. Their devotion to Lord Siva and Lord Vishnu are uncomparable. Lord Rama is shakthriya, Lord Krishna is Yadhava and list goes on.

    Periyava is for all.

The recent mukthi of HH 45th Azhagiyasingar of Ahobila mutt, the leading newspapers put a small news item in the 3/4th pages without even the photo. This is the respect to such a great hindu religious peetams

  5. I agree totally with Mahesh. Maha Periyava Jayanthi is being celebrated all over the country, all over the world nowadays, in which all Bhakthas, that is the only qualification, of any sect, creed or religion can participate and are participating. However Brahmins follow their Anushtanam and do Poojaas and Homas, as prescribed. If you wear Pants and Shirts, are you permitted to do the Poojaas and Homas? Everyone is free to come clean, with Bhakthi at heart and Maha Periyava Naama in the lips. If one concentrates on the sanctity with which the Poojas, Abhishekams and Homas are done, one would realise that they are Blessed by Maha Periyava. If one concentrates on thoughts as to why this Brahmin priest alone is doing all these poojas etc. the mind will wander towards errant thoughts and there will be no vimochanam. One cannot be in all the places at the same time. Maha Periyava will reside in your heart, if you pray to Him sincerely. You can even worship at your own home. As Pradosham Maama has said “பேட்டைக்கு பேட்டை அவாளை கொண்டாடுங்கோ!” Maha Periyava ThiruvadigaLee CharaNam! Hara Hara Shankara, Jaya Jaya Shankara!

  6. Yes.. Brahmasri Pradoshma Mama ( 64th Nayanmar ) said, Sri Sri Sri Maha Priyaval Jayanthi has to be celebrated in every single town and village 30 years back… Yes.. It is coming true definitely.. I am seeing and hearing Sri Sri Sri Maha Periyaval Jayanthi has been celebrated every month Anusham star in all the cities in USA, like New Jersey, Chicago, North Carolina, California, Multiple places in Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand…. the list continues.. The vision of Brahmasri Pradoshma Mama is coming automatically.. JayanJaya Sankara Hara Hara Sankara

  7. Amazing photograph.

  8. நன்றி பகிர்வுக்கு.

  9. Nothing doing,not opening

  10. I agree. It has somehow been felt by general public and portrayed by media that Sankara Mutts are meant only for Brahmins which Mahaperiyava had himself refuted stating that he had the maximum dis satisfaction with Brahmins for having discarded Vedic and shastraic life.
We have to work towards unifying all the Hindus and educate them that Sankaracharyas are for the Hindu society as a whole.

    • Not true. Never true. Both Mahaperiyava and Pudhu Periyava have been embracing all sects and treated then equally. You must understand that each sect must follow their own achara anushtanam. When brahmins do it, it looks glaring…In fact Pudhu Periyava has been very strongly criticized among several that He goes lot closer to people in cheris etc….It simply shows His compassion towards all.

      • It is not a question of How Periyava and Pudu periyava treat others. The fact that when Puduperiyava had problems only a handful of Brahmins only visited him and despite the fact he compassionately treated everybody equally,no one responded.Even now there are a few non brahmins who show allegiance towards the mutt and not to the extent as it should have been. This only has to be corrected as media plays a major role

  11. Mahesh ji
More celebrations are heartening. I have a different opinion. This celebration is only with particular “sect”. But whereas “Bhagawatpaadhal” and “Mahaperiyava” are Parameshwaran’s avataram. Their jayanthi celebrations to be enjoyed by every one and we should pray that celebrations by all around the globe. Let everyone to this blog strive to achieve this.

    • Dear Sankar. don’t sound disheartened. It shd gladden your heart that celebrations have also started in the far distant USA- the country which seems to have a spiritual attachment with India and has facilitated spread of hinduism from the days of Swami Vivekananda. Unfortunately,we as a country have ears and eyes only when the great traditions and the lives and teachings of such Great Mahans of this country are broadcast from that distant land. for instance, yogic culture ( considered till 2 to 3 decades back as a contortions of the body) is now a street corner Centre, meditation, breast-feeding, etc. It is notthe celebrations bu the fact that this blog definitely reaches the real seeker – Mahaperiavals will knock at the doors of rea and sincerel seekers( both materialistic as well as pursuing self-realisaion). To cut it short, I belong to this category and was- BY HIS GRACE- directed to this blog only 3 months back in the midst of a casual conversation at a family fuinction. Of course, Celebrations are basically a means by which the haves are given chance to indulge in mass feedding of the havenots.

      • Dear Mahesh,

        Peiyavaa Saranam,

I am so used to your (our)blog almost daily. Our Periva visited Nanjai Pugalur Agraharam (where tamil nadu newsprint factory(TNPL ) is situated nearby) in 1958 or 1959. HIS plan was to stay in my house for two days but stayed for five days. We have Ramar Pattabshiam padam which is nearly 100 years and periya done pooja for our Ramar My grandfather known As Bajanai Narayanswamy iyer had the opportunity to have Bitcha with Maha periyava (this was told by my father Radhakrishnan) My father at that time finished his law and was confused weather to go for a job or to practice as a lawyer. When my chittapa asked Puduperiyava HE asked to go for practice .Now is a leading lawyer in Karur Why I say is periya va vakku never go wrong and we are celebrating Sri Rama navami regularly after my grandfather attained Sri Rama”s feet. I want share this pic to all the devotees of MAHA PERIYAVAA…how to upload?

        Periyvaa saranam

    • Not true. All sects are participating….Nobody is stopping anyone attending jayanthi function. Bakthi is important and taking extra steps to participate in such events are important….I personally know lot of other “sects” who are extremely devoted to Periyava and attend these jayanthi/aradhanas regularly.

  12. well said and posted. petaikku petai kondadanum. avar anugraham pannanum…. sarvam perivaamayam….
