As we all know Jan 8th is Mahaperiyava Aradhana day. It so happens that His star anusham falls on the same date. To crown that date, it is the Pradosham day too! Kanchi mutt will be celebrating this event in a pretty grand way, as usual.
In the evening of 8th, there is a big event to officially launch of the CD pack titled Periyava Kural. Dr Badhrinath has taken lot of interest in hosting and releasing this treasure. All who are living in Chennai should attend this..

Sri Kanchi Mahaswami Trust has brought out a beautiful diary named ‘Anugrahavarsha 2013′ containing a collection of fabulous colour photographs of Maha Periyavaa along with other features of a diary. One of the centres where we can get this diary is at Sri Kanchi Mahaswami Vidya Mandir, Rajakilpakkam, Chennai -73. The highlight of this school (CBSE plus Vedam in the curriculum) is the Kamakshi Amman temple with Yantra prathishtaa done by our Pudu Periyavaa and Baala Periyavaa last year and a gallery of Maha Periyavaa’s various photographs, all inside this school campus. The diary is priced at Rs.1100/- per piece, the entire sale proceeds will go to the Vedha Samrakshana Trust. For quite some time I see some of our members would like to contribute for the Vedha Samrakshanam and looking out for some avenues. This would be a double bonanza for them, by buying this diary we directly help the vedic cause as also possess a valuable treasure of Maha Periyavaa’s superb photographs for ever. Though we could lay our hands on Maha Periyavaa’s photographs by browsing through websites, the collection of photographs in a single place via a diary that too in hard copy form will be priceless. As I bought one and enquired if there are further diaries available, am told many diaries are still available.

As per the calendar that I follow, Jan 8th is Ekadasi. 9th or 10th should be Pradosham. Are you sure Pradosham is on the 8th? Nevertheless, it is a blessed/auspicious day.

I will be observing the whole day vratha at Johannesburg..This is the II time in the last 19 yrs I am unable to attend the Shraddanjali@His Lotus feet..He will surely bless me and all sincere devotees!I am missing Subramania Swamy’s speech too on this occasion.His devotion is unique and must be heard in person to be believed..All of us are infact are gifted to have seen this great Mahan who is still walkingaround us and guiding us!
